Yes, and we claim Einstein as our own, yet he had a schizophrenic son.

Jesus probably didn't exist. There's no first-hand historical accounts of him.

What did Einstein's son do and how did he behave? I wonder about this. What if Einstein's son had aspergers but at that time was diagnosed with schizophrenia?

When I was 12, I was diagnosed as schizophrenic. Then it was reduced to possible early signs of manic depression and then they just didn't want to see me around again. I know why people think I'm unusual now.

Actually, I believe there is, but probably a lot different than it is traditionally believed.

Yeah, but Einstein never really talked to his son, just wrote him letters, sent to the nuthouse. This is one of the reasons that Einstein was thought to be autistic.

Maybe he was just a bastard.

I could have sworn the title of this thread was "JESUS WAS AGNOSTIC!?!".

After a few pages of on-topic posts, the discussion has broadened to other possibly autistic historical figures.

Topics dwindle and spread off into the tributaries of autonamous, self-reflection. What can i say?

You can make the case easily for Him walking on water simply by the idea that He was God (a whole off-topic debate in itself), and according to the books there's no doubt He did, but for autism, you've really only got speculation to work with.

Which is true, but so furthers the constant dichotomy of science and faith.

Jesus would of never wanted people to march into a country and destroy it's culture, steal it's oil, and murder lives of innocent civilians. I'm sitting here now watching the republican debates on t.v. and it hurts me to see how many people want to maintain a cherade of terrorism, and go forth like white riders to stomp out evil?! Ignorance is petulance, and it rules the world. It makes me wonder if Ragtime is right? What if liberals would rather sit there and see what happens, if somehow some veil will be lifted to show the error of their ways. Whether it be Islamic, or Christian, i hope that both will agree to see the other side, that death cannot renew life, and that tolerance is key when both sides don't want to lose. We, as a state of riches, can afford giving destitute countries common graces that they live without. We can better ourselves by making those suffering around us more productive and content. Not to send our armies and forcibly 'establish' our economies there. Let them learn and decide for themselves.

I'd guess Jesus probably had Schizophrenia, and thus had voices in his head telling him he was the son of God and all that.

I don't find it plausible that Jesus was autistic.

But John the Baptist, yes. He had such a strong sense of right and wrong that he told the king off, and ended up paying with his life. He lived a solitary life in the desert. He seemed to have been so anxious that he felt he had to be ready for the end of the world at every instant. And he had a severely restricted diet, suggesting food allergies.

Doesn't all this add up to the pattern of autism?

Why couldn't the Big J be autistic? He had all the same traits as John, just more of a fan base really. I'm sure Jesus didn't have crowds around him at all times, and still did a lot of solitary praying and such.

I don't accept that Jesus existed. An article by Earl Doherty has convinced me.

The article can be found on the following website:

http://www.jesuspuzzle.com.

Scroll down to the section titled "The Jesus Puzzle in a Nutshell" and click on the link that says "The Jesus Puzzle: Pieces in a Puzzle of Christian Origins."
