Most people in third-world countries are poor and uneducated but I think the reason people in the Middle East hate us is because they don't want the US controlling their countries. Does anyone understand what's happening in Iraq? Iraq's oil fields were owned by Iraqis (the government of Iraq). The US invaded and decided to privatize the oil fields so they can be sold to US companies. Instead of Iraqis receiving the profits, US corporations will get it instead. I think the whole point of the war in Iraq was to take over their oil fields. US troops will probably stay in Iraq forever to protect the oil fields so US corporations can profit from them. They wouldn't hate the US if the US stopped stealing from them and stayed out of their countries.

I agree. People have reasons to be pissed off at the US.

Religion still adds to the problem though. I’m talking about the “us vs them” mentality. Islam is very “us vs them” if you read the Quran. Christians and Jews also have the “us vs them” mentality. This blinds everyone, every party. People don’t even see the real injustices, the real problems. It applies to both sides.
