It'll be a cold day in Hades before organized crime gives up that revenue stream.

Organized crime can cultivate more cheaply that legitimate businesses can, and they can distribute more efficiently. It doesn't take much financial accounting to realize that the Hell's Angels will always be able to undercut the price of pot at any store, and they will be able to do it with a better profit margin.

There is truth to this.

a simple choice. Your body your choice. Perhaps with slight regulation that people buying it knows what they're buying and what the true effect are.

now for the fact that drug is dangerous. First, it's irrelevant. So is skydiving and all. But you know what? It's NOT dangerous.

Most popular drugs, LSD, extacy, ganja, and many other things are not dangerous at all. If anything it helps people to think differently for a while. Good for those in creative businesses. People that use drugs are not only happy temporarily, but are also successful on long terms.

Well, some like meth is bad. Once every 6 months so what? See how you feel when your dopamine is high for a while.

Marijuana should be completely legal, other drugs should remain controlled substances but not overly criminalized.

First I'll talk about marijuana, marijuana is a plant that God put on this earth. It is not good, it is not evil, if I find value in the plant or if I use it in anyway shape or form, then if I live in a truly free country then I should be allowed to. The consequences are being proved to not be that bad, locking me up if I was to use accomplishes nothing. Not only would I continue to use which means it would fail on the rehabilitation side, but it violates my rights to freedom as you would be punishing me for something that had no victim. You would put me in jail for no other reason then I offended you. If a country is to remain free, then I must be respected for anything that I do that doesn't violate another persons rights. That is to say, what drug I use, who I pray to, my sexual orientation, if I drink, if I smoke, what I buy, what I sell should be no ones concern but mine. I don't like it when people take antidepressant that probably aren't going to help them but should I hate them or lock them up for that decision? Responsible drug use is a decision that hurts no one. I want people in jail that hurt people, I don't want anyone in jail because someone took offense to something they did.

Now lets move on to the hard stuff, harder drugs can cause a damage to society but they need to remain legal because of the above points. However, I believe they need to be controlled and given for medical conditions. Hydrocodone is not evil, but it can lead to poor judgement which can hurt people and can create a victim. Still people shouldn't be arrested or look at any different for possession but they should be arrested if they are doing some dumb s**t. Still the problem wasn't the drugs but was stupid people. Having a controlled substances reduces the likely hood of a dumbass getting a hold of something they don't need but doesn't criminalize its possession. It also increases the likely hood that someone who is doing wrong will get help in the community.

Any chemical drug can be dangerous. Many people have died using extacy, and many people have damaged their minds using LSD or what they thought was LSD.

I believe even weed has dangers just minimal ones, primarily to ones respiratory system.

But none of that should matter because.it should all be allowed..

^Id really like to know who put this lousy thing together and what its actually based on... I call BS on any fancy graph that tries to imply cannabis is not only more harmful, but significantfy more so than ecstacy, LSD, methadone, and steroids.... by what standards? And how would one ever measure potential 'harm to others' on such a scale...

Seems like a graphs nut together by an anti alcohol group to me...

How the f**k is cannabis more harmful than ketamine, anabolic steroids, or benzos? How the f**k is alcohol more harmful than heroin or cocaine?
