People are gullible idiots. As far as I'm concerned anyone who honestly thinks that he or she is an incarnation of God belongs in a psych ward. If you talk to God you are praying. If God talks to you you are schizophrenic.

And since the topic has come up, I highly doubt Jesus was a real figure. If he was, he was psychotic.

In addition, the whole idea of the "Final Judgement," etc., is very elitist. The notion that most of this world, even young African children who have never even heard of Christianity, would burn for eternity. However, the mass murderer who repents before he's put to death gets off scott-free? Completely unjust.

While the Poll is ofcourse a little provocative, I think the basic problem here is the views of some Christians on homosexuality. Those thoughts are also the reason why this is so controversial. Christians who say it does not matter to me should be proud of themselves, because they can go against some of their society and still see what is important. I have not read the whole bible, but from the parts I read I believe Jesus would be quite ashamed of some Christians now.

Any Christian with any logic would not have a problem with homosexuals. When the bible was written a very important thing in this issue was not known: homosexuality is inborn (this is no point of discussion, but a scientific fact)! Combining this with the ideas from the bible that god is good and omnipotent, the next ideas come:

That means basically that God makes people gay, because he is omnipotent. If gays 'happen' by accident that will mean God is not omnipotent. This is not consistent with the bible.
Ofcourse there is the thought that God gives free will to people and that people are responsible for their deeds still. In that case if God is omnipotent and makes people gay, but will not allow them to be themselves, he is just Cruel. Since God is good it would be very strange if for this one point he will be cruel. People are cruel in his name though. Being good I also think he would not like that.

Isn't Jesus supposed to be 'all things to all people'?

If so then he's gay, straight, black, white, mormon, islamic, toaist, buddhist, marxist, jewish(duh), etc...

He likes puppies, hates briccoli and sleeps with sheep; enjoys long walks on the beach and tiramisou, but can't stand it when people take too long to check out at the grocery store.

I can go on and on and on...

Erm slowmutant, God doesn't exist, neither does santa or the sandman. It would be nice to believe the fairytale, but sorry I don't! Telling people their going to be judged. Look if thats your belief, you should really keep it to yourself. Where's your sense of humour? Over religiously people seem to be missing one!
