i think all groups have equal adversity in their own ways and that you're focusing on the "not being able to get laid" factor too much.x

Contrary to what several people have suggested, there aren't actually any laws that discriminate against gays or lesbians. Nowhere in any US jurisdiction is there a statute saying that "homosexuals are not allowed to get married." They're just not allowed to marry people of the same sex. But heterosexuals aren't allowed to marry people of the same sex, either. So if the same laws apply to gays & lesbians as to everyone else, how can they claim to be persecuted? If they just acted straight, no one would even know they were gay. Right?

Wrong. Because they aren't straight. So forcing them to follow rules and behaviors that are logical and natural for the straight population amounts to persecution. Just like forcing left-handed kids to do everything right-handed. It's barbaric and thick-headed, and we as a society will stop doing it just as soon as all the thick-headed barbarians die off. But do you see where I'm going with this?
Expecting Aspies to follow neurotypical customs and behaviors is EXACTLY the same as expecting gay men to marry women just because straight men do. Aspies aren't going to integrate with the rest of society because that's not who they are. And because they don't act like "normal" people, Aspies are overwhelmingly favored as victims for bullies. At the same time, they are 7 times more likely to be questioned, harassed, or arrested by police than an average American. So, while we may not be "targeted" because of a label, like the victims of hate crimes or racial profiling, the effect is the same. When you're getting pummeled for "being weird," or cuffed in the back of a squad car because you "look guilty," knowing you weren't specifically targeted for your minority status isn't much of a consolation.

And on top of that, it takes an act of Congress for one of us to get laid.
We've earned the right to whine a little now and then.

Well, what exactly happened to this post, I thought it was started to display and act, upon the difficulties of Aspie's, now we're talking of "GW" and "How we want to get laid"? I understand the reasons of some of the arguments taken place here, but if any progress is to be made, even if it's just something small, we’re going to have to talk about one problem and set aside the others. I have AS and school phobia, it is extremely hard for me to go to school, and I don't have any friends, it is hard for both genders of AS to go about in our current society, I have no say on how it is for Gay people and Lesbians, but if there is one thing to say it’s that all of these groups, are not being treated fair, it needs to change!

Please don’t reply saying, that I’m whining also that’s not my intention, what I’m saying is we're arguing over subjects that play no role in this posted topic?

Ensabah6, I'm curious where you are getting these claims of "pseudo-pretend" which I presume based on your other posts that you don't believe the diagnoses and conditions of the other members here. You're welcome to your opinion, but to call others ignorant when they don't agree with you isn't appropriate - different people have different challenges, and how they are affected and face them will differ in every scenario. You seem intent of inflaming others with your posts - could you explain otherwise?
