i will always be part of history and that fact will remain true forever.

Billions upon billions of people have existed and died and most are as distinguished as the individual drops that comprise the oceans. But not all. But in ten million years (which is an instant in time) no one will be remembered nor, probably, will there be anyone to remember them.

that is very true that no one will be remembered. but history is not what is contained within memories.
history is an account of the entire proceedings of the universe. it is not possible to fit into any "mind", but that does not obviate it's reality.

it is absolutely true that after the last thing that ever happens, history will be completed. and everything (no matter how miniscule) that happened, will be part of the "story of the universe".

And who will read it?

it does not need to be "read" in order to exist.
things exist as certainly as they do in a "mind that bears witness" as they do without any conscious mind anywhere in the universe to see it.

That, of course conflicts with the concept of "history" which is a transcription of recorded events. Unrecorded events are not history. The human mind is not aware of everything in its immediate area, not to speak of whatever occurs throughout the entire universe. The mind is quite selective and cannot possibly integrate everything that it perceives, and all those events it does not or can not perceive are quite beyond it. Without the mind there is no history.

I will either:

a) decompose

b) go to Hell

c) reincarnate

all options are equally horrible, so I plan to just live forever.

TO A MOUSE
ON TURNING HER UP IN HER NEST WITH THE PLOUGH, NOVEMBER, 1785

by: Robert Burns (1759-1796)

I

EE, sleekit, cowrin, tim'rous beastie,
Oh, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi' bickering brattle!
I was be laith to rin an' chase thee,
Wi' murd'ring pattle!

II

I'm truly sorry man's dominion
Has broken Nature's social union,
An' justifies that ill opinion
Which makes thee startle
At me, thy poor, earth-born companion
An' fellow-mortal!

III

I doubt na, whyles, but thou may thieve;
What then? poor beastie, thou maun live!
A daimen-icker in a thrave
'S a sma' request;
I'll get a blessin wi' the lave,
And never miss't!

IV

Thy wee-bit housie, too, in ruin!
Its silly wa's the win's are strewin!
An' naething, now, to big a new ane,
O' foggage green!
An' bleak December's winds ensuin,
Baith snell an' keen!

V

Thou saw the fields laid bare an' waste,
An' weary winter comin fast,
An' cozie here, beneath the blast,
Thou thought to dwell,
Till crash! the cruel coulter past
Out thro' thy cell.

VI

That wee bit heap o' leaves an stibble,
Has cost thee mony a weary nibble!
Now thou's turn'd out, for a' thy trouble,
But house or hald,
To thole the winter's sleety dribble,
An' cranreuch cauld!

VII

But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft a-gley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

VIII

Still thou art blest, compared wi' me!
The present only toucheth thee:
But och! I backward cast my e'e,
On prospects drear!
An' forward, tho' I cannot see,
I guess an' fear!

Well said.

Anyway I think after I die it will just be nothingness..... the same kind before we where born... no feeling or existance.

In my honest opinion that would be paradise, no longer would I have to worry about anything :P

My body will be buried six feet under the ground and will slowly rot away. That’s it.

Ok...well I didn't want to get emotions involved being that this is the PPR forum and peaceful thread but it bothers me to think how now that my nephew and family members are dead, that they are just rotting.

In fact I don't want to even think about it anymore.

What will happen after I die? Um... probably a funeral service attended by a few people who knew me, aside from that it will be business as usual for the rest of the world. Hopefully by that time we'll finally have flying cars.

Oh, you mean what happens to me specifically? Well, I'll just have to wait and see. If all goes well, I'll be in suspense for at least 6 more decades.
