That's why I want a 50 cal sniper rifle :P

Not sufficient against an AFV.
And little is against airstrikes.
I really don't see much hope
anymore.

The ukraine was doing a nice line in soviet helicopter gunships a few years back, cheap at twice the price if you could afford the shipping. Scud launchers for 10 grand british as well. Cheaper than a family car, that is. roomy too. Though you do need an HGV licence to drive one, and I'm fairly sure fissionable material not included. (Now thats a sales tag i'd love to own.)

However, there's a nuclear reactor in Scotland that "lost" a few hundred tons of radioactive shite a few years ago, and I have relatives up there. I'm pretty sure Uncle "Glows-In-The-Dark" Macbeth, of the "Gills-and-3-eyes" Macbeths could hook you up with something to put in it.

That should sort out an AFV.

Lol!
Or you could keep a look out for a skinny, bald guy with no teeth peddling plutonium on the street.
If you can’t trust a dealer that looks like Mahatma Gandhi, who can you trust?

it is not wrong to bear arms.....what that person does is a different matter.

i lived in a household where there was handgun, a 12 gauge, and 3 different k-bars positioned throughout the house. no one was killed or harmed as we never needed to use them and we were responsible with all the weapons.

possession is not wrong. it's the application after possession that could be right or wrong. allowing people to possess weapons is not a problem....it's the criminals who would use weapons to harm others or those who do not respect or understand fully the weapon....and in those cases, criminals will get weapons whether they're legal or not (my associate in england who was shot will testify that the criminal was not deterred by the fact that their gun was illegal) and with regards to those who use it irresponsibly...it's like sex education....you need to address the issue and give as much information as possible (including when or when not to use a weapon...so that kids don't think it's okay to gut the school bully)...not pretend like there is no issue.

Was that a General Electric (GE) managed reactor? I heard GE was caught out getting rid of their radioactive waste by spreading it out in the employee car park and putting bitumen over the top

Dunray I think its called. Its near Wick, right at the top end of scotland. (ie the bit thats spitting distance from the Arctic circle.)

Of course up at Uncle Macbeths dodgy second hand nuclear weapon emporium, tarmac that gives your children Downs Syndrome is a popular family favourite.

(You might think I'm taking the piss there.. but I'm not. Wick has a STUPIDLY high ratio of Downs kids, compared to anywhere else in the country. Not bad for a village that didnt even have traffic lights until ten years ago, and when they got them, no-one knew what they were.)

It occurs to me that with people doing such silly things with nuclear waste, whether or not pillocks can get high quality firearms is probably a secondary concern.

All I know is the day I actually have $1100 or more to spare I may be looking through an HK catalog. Still think personally though that its better to have one and not need it than need it and not have one. Besides, they're way more fun at the firing range than hitting a bucket of golf balls.

I figure that if I really need one, I'll
just steal it.

Sigs, Glocks, and H&K are just great guns. Being I have friends who have the former two I'd want to have something different.

I wanted something different too, so I got a Desert Eagle.
You don’t see many at the range because they are expensive and are very picky about the kind of ammunition you use.
Unlike most pistols, the Desert Eagle uses a gas-cycling system similar to an M16 or M4 Carbine, so using full-lead projectiles will clog the gas port and cause a jam. I can get away with semi-jacketed lead rounds though.

What I personally find most unique about the Desert Eagle is it's the only gun I've ever fired that can keep a big grin on my face even if I don’t manage to hit a darn thing. :D

They call it MUF. People who work in the industry or have played Metal Gear Solid knows what that stands for.

Any time you make something illegal you stop the honest people from getting it. Fully automatic weapons are illegal and I have seen them, personally, in the most questionable of hands (16 y/o biker). All you do is make it less likely for a criminal to face a victim with a gun.

Ceska-Zbrojovka is a decent manufacturer - their quality's as good as HK or Glock, but a lot cheaper. I couldn't imagine paying $1100usd for a pistol. I got mine for $300 new.

I've been wanting a CZ75b for a long time now. I have a CZ452 .22 rifle and a few older CZ handguns but still not the 75. I was going to get one but decided on an H&K P7. I think I should have gotten the CZ, though. The P7 isn't quite what I thought it would be. I'll keep it anyway, though, just because but I'm still gonna get that CZ75. Can't have too many guns :D .
Just about everyone that I know who has a CZ75 thinks very highly of them.
