If God exists It has done a wonderful job of hiding Itself.

And herein lies your problem with reality. Tee universe is the way it is because this is the way it is, one set of rules leads to another. The issue is one of perception. You see the universe from a top down approach, rather than as a continuum of events each determining the subsequent events.

Badger your second to last post sums it up perfectly for me. What I find worrying is the attitude of some fundamental Christians who rather than blame their god for misfortune, instead blame the individual or society, defending God's actions as righteous. It seems to me that given the opportunity these people would install a biblical regime not unlike ISIS.
Precisely; it's almost as if the belief system has been designed to and (ironically) evolved over time to deliberately swerve logical arguments against it and counteract them with unproveable retorts I suppose when the answer is basically "because magic", fact and reality-based arguments will never win.

It is how God wants it to be.
It is fair enough to say that because there is order there must be an orderer. It is an inescapable conclusion based on science (observation, experiment, etc.). However, Mr So-fisticated, you are wasting your time on these ideological zealots because they have already narcissistically defined "reality", "truth", "science" as that which agrees with their ideological presumption... nothing at all to do with "pedestrian" observation, experiment and all that.
The egomaniacal nutcases have had every opportunity to demonstrate their total disregard for any kind of science which they have done in Spades.
I really got to hate narcissists when I was a diminutive odd-bod in Primary School. The playground bullies would "let" you be in their gang if you'd say any stupid thing convenient to their ambitions. I still hate narcissists. More recently I've got to hate "mental narcissists" who imagine that they can tailor "reality" to be whatever they want it to be.
I've been away but I'll be back tomorrow if I can.
Addendum: There cannot be any more "mysterious way" than the demonstrably impossible. Why is a demonstrably impossible "natural phenomenon" regarded as a "scientific certainty"?

Curious, Krafti. Is that supposed to mean the same as "I know where you live and where your children go to school"?
Hey! the Muhammedan horde are quickly catching up to the pits of anti-reason. Give them even a small percentage of the sales-pitch afforded Darwinism and you'll be speaking Arabic, fella

I've seen that movie so many times, I've almost become a Dudist now. It helps I already have the drinking habits of the Dude
I don't drink anymore but never the less, the 'BIG LEBOWSKI' MOVIE is like my video bible.. and 'the dude' for all practical intents and purposes is a peaceful easy living loving 'Jesus' who DOESN'T give a F ABOUT PC.
TRULY I walk in THE "dude's" footsteps now....
And of course the TAI CHI dance walk stuff 'he' does in the movie, as BALANCED MIND AND BODY WELL..
And yeah.. the fact I worked in and managed a Military Bowling Center almost two decades brings a certain flavor of greater fondness.. as well.. as nostalgia.. for a dying breed of social interaction in the alleys of life..
Virtual ways of social interaction will NEVER EVER replicate that for me...
It was like working at "Cheer's" where everyone knew your name knew you were strange but loved you all the same...
And THAT IS the core message of THAT MOVIE OF LIFE.. as well.

Per that Cheers clip above.. i'm not 11 months old.. i don't have a mom named Lilith.. and there is no man at the Seville Quarter Bar I know now where i RAVE dance every Thursday Night.. as of 48 weeks tonight named Norm...
But yeah.. my name is Frederick...
And if it wasn't for that Military Bowling Center for almost two decades of work there.. i might not have ever learned to speak coherently with my Hyperlexic form of Autism...
And if wasn't for THE new Bar.. Seville Quarter.. In Pensacola.. FL.. i might not have learned to speak with "magicK' 'FEaT'..
Sometimes LIFE is SIMPLY 'MAGICK' for 'those' 'who' CAN 'SEE' THE free verse POETRY IN IT.. IN ALL WAYS.. THAT MAKES IT..
SO....
AND IT IS OFTEN THE STRANGEST OF creators.. per WRITERS.. directors.. producers.. and ACTORS 'WHO' DO....

C'mon, David,
I'm just kidding with you.
You might be kidding when you tell us how much of an ignoramus we all are. I don't believe you believe this. I just think you insult us for rhetorical effect, to advance your argument somehow.
I wish you would come out and be a human being, talk to us like people, rather than berate us.
If people would stop berating each other and questioning each other's ethics, intelligence, honesty, etc. all the time, I believe PPR would be able to welcome more comers. This could be a really educational Subforum.
