Grateful Dead: Ship of Fools.
Quote:
The ship of fools is an allegory, originating from Plato,[1] that has long been a fixture in Western literature and art. The allegory depicts a vessel populated by human inhabitants who are deranged, frivolous, or oblivious passengers aboard a ship without a pilot, and seemingly ignorant of their own direction.

This song is more subjective than the others in this batch. It could apply to any incompetent, reckless and possibly disingenuous political movement or cult. If I were to make an educated guess, I'd say the direct impetus for this song came from Timothy Leary. His bio fits perfectly, and I would expect someone with Hunter's background to feel this way about him.
"Went to see the captain, strangest I could find
Laid my proposition down, laid it on the line
I won't slave for beggar's pay, likewise gold and jewels
But I would slave to learn the way to sink your ship of fools"
--Robert Hunter.
