I was raised in a conservative christian household. I have gone through several religions including buddhism, druidry and wicca as experimental. The one that I finally decide on is not yet known but here are a few of my beliefs:

1) There are 2 supernatural beings: goddess as feminine and god as masculine. They are the author of all, good or evil

2)Karma: actually more to keep myself from being bad

3)prayer takes place between me and my gods. I have no altar or magick. my goal is to form a personal relationship with them.

4)wisdom is also a major goal

5)The human soul is reborn again and again until the gods have decided that it is worthy enough to pass to a better realm.

Even though I am Methodist, I am open to hearing all religions, as long as you don't force your beliefs on me. Since my town is full of engineers, we have a mix of Catholics, Hindus, Bhuddists, Jews, Baptists, etc, and we can all get along just fine. I will try to invite people to my church, but I won't force them.

About backing up arguments with facts, one subject I have an issue with is homosexuality. Personally, I wouldn't want to lead that kind of lifestyle. At the same time, I don't have an overzealous ego telling me to blast all gays and tell them they are all wrong. If I were to tell a gay that his way of living was wrong and he or she asked why, I'd only be able to use the bible word for word. But I really wonder why it is wrong? Not saying I encourage it, but I wish the bible was a little more clear on why its wrong.

But whatever happened to the rule "I before E, except after C"?

Because the religious people can't spell, so they had to call them Atheists.

"Main Entry: athe·ism
Pronunciation: 'A-thE-"i-z&m
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French athéisme, from athée atheist, from Greek atheos godless, from a- + theos god
1 archaic : UNGODLINESS, WICKEDNESS
2 a : a disbelief in the existence of deity b : the doctrine that there is no deity"

"Main Entry: the·ism
Pronunciation: 'thE-"i-z&m
Function: noun
: belief in the existence of a god or gods; specifically : belief in the existence of one God viewed as the creative source of man and the world who transcends yet is immanent in the world
- the·ist /-ist/ noun or adjective
- the·is·tic /thE-'is-tik/ also the·is·ti·cal /-ti-k&l/ adjective
- the·is·ti·cal·ly /-ti-k(&-)lE/ adverb"

The root word is "the-" ("god") so the "'i' before 'e'" rule has no bearing, here... :P
