Enslavement requires the use of force, without the authority to force anyone to buy their products or work against their will (which can only be provided through gov't intervention), the producers and management have no power to enslave anyone.

Their power is derived from creating the products so necessary to people's lives, and thus the ability to give or withhold said products.

Humans lived for tens of thousands of years before those products became available, what makes them necessary now?

If you want to live in a timber hut, and have your woman make home spun clothing for you, go for it. But most of us prefer at least a few luxuries of life.

People can't go back to living like peasants growing their own food. For one thing the land as all taken. You need money to start a farm. In our modern society the only option for those without enough basic products to meet their needs is to beg or rely on charity.

I don't think people like you realize how dependent you are on "the system". I realize "rugged individualism" gives Americans a sense of pride but it's ultimately a lie.

Also, you don't need to personally create anything to have power. You can have power simply by owning a monopoly on some natural resource. If a private company can buy the water supply for an entire city they have a hell of a lot of power.
