Isn't that what Repugnican voters look for in a candidate?

Not in Massachusetts. That is where Mitt was governor.

Yeah, but they're in South Carolina this week.

Maybe because there are people who remember he wasn't always a fanatical right wing Republican, and so hope for him to show some "compassionate conservatism." -Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

That could also be a significant factor.

Which is the real Romney, though?

Is he a moderate republican pandering to conservatives?

Or a conservative republican who no longer has to pander to liberals?

What ever he's not posing as when he speaks. I get a feeling of insincerity when he does.

Yes, that's the important question of the man who right now seems more than likely to be our next President. To be honest though, I'm not sure there is a "real" Romney, or that it even matters. If he has to pander to the Republican base through his first term as President, we're all f****d. I better brush up on my creationism if I'm to still have a job in Sy-ants.

A vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for civil war.

How about we just don't vote period. This government is totally corrupt, there's no way to fix it.

No, but if she thinks the same way, good for her.

Because he seeks to take away my right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

This ranks with such lame excuses as:

"Girls won't pay attention to me, so I've stopped bathing and dressing up; there's no way for me to be attractive."

"Nobody wants to hire me, so I've stopped looking for work; there's no way to get a job."

"I'm fat anyway, so I will eat only junk food and not exercise; there's no way to get thin."

If you do not vote, then how do you expect things to change?

Sorry for snarking at you.

Romney is against medical marihuana. If elected to the office of President of the U.S., he will send armed troops to California and possibly Colorado under the newly minted "National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)" where people like me will be detained if we make a fuss about our free and natural medicine being taken away. Romney is a strong opponent of illegal drugs and does not favor legalizing medical cannabis. He will use federal troops to enforce his ideas about the matter. Many Californians and Coloradans just might not like that at all...
