They may as well fire people who use alcohol to.

Alcohol is permissible in the world of the squares. Pot and hard drugs are not.

If one were logical one would allow them all or forbid them all, but since when has logic ruled in this land?

Well, before 3 years ago, I moved from Texas, to Alaska, to Missouri, so results are by no means guaranteed (although I hear Alaskan villagers get to grow their own weed hassle free)

I say allow it all, then that also makes room for more accurate information, less stigma and drug issues being treated as a medical issue than a criminal issue. It's the policy they have in one country Portugal I think but I'd have to look it up and see how this policy works for them.

pot can cause schizophrenia.

The war on drugs can cause a dangerously excessive concentration of state power, a domestic paramilitary presence, and a cannibalistic legal system that uses incarcerations to generate state revenue, as well as a private prison system that serves as an excuse to hand over massive subsidies to big business to build more prisons to house the increasingly higher incarcerted populations. I think this is more of a problem than the low risk of pot use bringing on schizophrenia. There's already an issue with mass psychosis, and its primarily in those legislating marijuana, not those smoking it.

Not that this has any practical implications for me, but it's great to see common sense triumph at least in a few states. But even for people in those states, does it actually mean they can use marijuana without being prosecuted? It's still a federal crime, isn't it?

Once the legalization of pot virally hits the other 47 statate *bible belt last*the feds will have no choice but legalize it without hassle.

Washington's legalization of gay marriage and recreational marijuana use was foretold in Leviticus: Any man who lies with another man must be stoned.

Please do! And incidentally, I was told this by a friend who heard it from a friend, so I'm not the genius individual who came up with this joke.

It's far better in my own experience. Much less of a crash, no zombification, and it actually relaxes me.
