What about chopping meat that's already been removed from the body? Would that also be blocked, I wonder.

If you can't see a elementary difference between an animal with a living soul, a plant, and a rock, then I'm done responding to you for now. .

What makes you think there is an immaterial entity living inside us? Have you come across any objective empirical evidence of such a thing. And even if Person A has a soul (unlikely) that is not guarantee that Person B has a soul.

Spoken like a true animal. What convinces you that you are right. How do you know that plants don't have "feelings"?

That reminds me of the way Southern slave masters used to boast about how the Darkies loved being slaves.

Plants are alive, animals are alive.Unless you consume carrion you are killing something.

You don't know that lettuce wants to be pulled.

Mutilating a corpse? It's already dead, so the worse for it is already over. It is annoying that the animals one cares about are only the ones they know personally. It takes more effort to care about strangers than friends at least, but isn't that like what Stalin (or at least someone, regardless of whether the quote is attributed to this guy or that) said, that, "One death is a tragedy, but a million is a statistic."

There are many humans which seem soulless actually, at least when questioning their favorite addictions in life.

Good for you, oh wait, no it isn't.
Not eaten every day mind you I usually eat seafood and poultry which is much better for me sure youl scowl at the idea it wont change my opinion you would have to put a gun to my head to get me to stop eating meat but ill still eat it later.

Everyone is free to do whatever they want, no matter how stupid or wrong. If you want to kill innocent creatures and argue that it's your choice and that you're eating ones that are slightly better for you compared to other dead animals, then that's your decision. I still think it's wrong, so get over *that*.
And I will continue to eat meat don't like it? Get over it!

If you come across a plant like Zahn from Farscape, let me know. Otherwise, care to provide proof of sentience in plants?

Did you know that in wars during the time of the slave trade, that those literally unfortunate people - humans who were treated like property and most certainly shouldn't have been - would have become meals to the victorious tribes at that time had not they been transported hundreds of miles away? Slavery is wrong, but cannibalism is far worse. Those people who were treated as property shouldn't have been treated that way whatsoever, but neither should they have been eaten instead. Thank God for abolition though, even though it was way too darn slow to get there and way too bloody in America when it was fought for.

Get over the fact that I don't like that you're promoting the needless slaughter of millions of innocent creatures every year.

Ever heard of Kami? All things are alive, and MAY have a spirit.Who knows?I sure as hell don't,so I don't take any life lightly.Nor do I force my personal beliefs on others.

You won't stop them from eating meat, yet most people that eat it in reality would not be able to kill an animal.Raise it from birth and it licks your hand and you slaughter it,hard truth.

^^^ Get over the fact that I don't care at this point at least I'm not ramming it down peoples throats and telling their way of life is wrong and vile. Its like knocking over a kids sand castle just because you think its not like your sand castle. I am just speaking my opinion I'm fine with vegans as long as they don't press their beliefs or try to force me to live their way because they dictate so. There are always going to be different people with different tastes and cultures I don't think judging a person by his or her food and calling him or her a monster because of it they could be nice people too but your judging them.

That's nature, though. It is cruel, I agree. But that is how it is.

Yay, Durianrider's girlfriend.

Now that you've posted Durianrider, you've lost any sense of credibility in my mind at all. Durianrider spends like $50 a day on his fresh fruit smoothies and rides $10,000 carbon fiber bikes around.
