My concerns about WrongPlanet.net are all over the forum. Something has happened in the last few months. I have asked the moderators to lock this topic immediately. Honestly, I thought the OP was kinda funny but true. Clearly, too many screeching Communists/Progressives/Liberals took it as something vastly more important than it is.

There goes free speech at WP. Shouting down "enemies" is now the new WP pastime.
why are you posting 'joke' threads in the political subforum and then getting confused when people take it seriously(assuming this isn't backpedaling)

also, claiming 'free speech' is being invalidated just because you can't post bs is incorrect, if free speech wasn't there, how would everyone be able to call you on your flawed analogy?

xenophobia and you can't even spell foreigners correctly. wow.

Says the member who doesn't use correct punctuation. Wow, indeed.
xenophobia and not bothering to use capitals; clearly equally bad

Whatever you say, "mr. cummings." But, criticizing others' use of writing styles does undermine your own a titch.

accusing me of being xenophobia because I don't want people outside my nation telling me how to live inside my nation is a personal attack. I should report you.

most my friends are from other nations. they don't' tell me and other people here how we should live. I do not fear you nor do I dislike you for being from another nation. I don't think you have any right tell Americans how to live just as I have no right to tell Germans how to live.

also look up history. Nazi Germany banned guns because they weren't safe. then they rounded up mass amounts of unarmed people. why , maybe because the Jews with guns might have resisted like they did in Russia. essepcially prior military jews.

I blame the "Forward[,]" "Lean Forward" and "Great Leap Forward" campaign slogans of 2012. Of course, nobody with an understanding of political history would realize that these are Communist slogans of "pressing" an agenda. It taught too many followers to argue, belittle, debate, scorn, humiliate and ridicule their "enemies." We are seeing it now at WrongPlanet.net in a calculated form that suggests naivete ("Garsh, I am just speaking mah mind! Don't I have the right to do that?") when, in fact, many of its proponents do know it as a tool with which to control others in what otherwise appears as simple banter.

I may not be born in the US, but I'm still living here, so I kinda feel bound to comment on things that will probably affect me

that's not really accurate, the gun ban you're referencing was put in place in 1928 before the nazis took power. ten years later in 1938, the German Weapons Act superseded the previous law, relaxing laws to the point that only sidearms were regulated, though not ammo or long arms, in addition to not allowing jews to own weapons.

so you live here but don't consider yourself an american?

if i moved to German and lived there for the rest of my life I'd say we Germans. not you Germans. I don't get people who live in other nations and don't fully migrate, keep loyalty to eh past nation they don't live in anymore. unless you're just visiting. in which case you still don't have a say in how we do things because you'll leave one day.

dox, utah, can visiting non immigrants/citizens even buy guns? like can they vote. do they get the rights granted to citizens of the us? i think only people who live her permanently should have as say. as its not fair for someone to pop in to Russia, get horrible laws passed then leave never having to deal with the laws.

if you're a legal immigrant or citizen you should really call yourself an american and I would put more effort into your replies. I just don't care what say a Chinese man living in china has to say. but so many Brits in England have so much to say and want to change how we live here. its non of their business.

though i also don't care what high horsed grammar nazis have to say either. anyone who feels they are better then anyone else isn't worth talking to.

I've not attained citizenship, so no, not really. claiming to be an american when I'm not a citizen but just a resident alien seems a bit weak to me.

it takes at least 12 years to become a citizen, and at least 4 to become a resident alien. you can't just pop in and out like you claim.

why would I? I wasn't born here

it's none of their business how America acts? uh, you do realize that the US isn't on it's own planet, right?

Federal law limits firearm ownership to U.S. citizens and legal visitors (like students, refugees, workers and spouses who aren't yet U.S. citizens). However, reviewing the criminal history of visitors is daunting depending on the nation of origin and, despite the honesty of the kind of visitor who would risk everything if he or she attempted illegally to purchase a firearm, it is difficult at best for visitors to gain this privilege. But, it isn't unheard of.

As for voting, all voters must be U.S. citizens though the U.S. Supreme Court determined Arizona's voter-ID law unconstitutional last month. All citizens get all rights and privileges, while legal visitors get most rights and some privileges.

same planet but way way way far away. I'll never meet them , their never meet me. if i want to strap a 50 cal to my car it'll never effect them nor will they know. so unless its about a way between us or environmental problems like polluting the oceans it doesn't effect them. they have no say in if i shoot my guns or eat a peanut butter sandwich.

just as we have no say in them eating dog meat.

ok, what about the help that was given to the IRA from America. or the guns that flow from the border states into mexico. America isn't as far removed from the rest of the world as you think.
