Man turns dog into "nazi", gets arrested
I had forgotten that Scotland had gotten, if anything, shittier than England about this sort of thing.

Yes the SNP are kind of regressive. They call themselves progressive but like a lot of the regressive BS especially Salmond and Sturgeon.
Interesting Salmond actually got thrown out of the party when it was more conservative. Think back then it was never electable, it was mainly old fuddy duddies, were not relatable.
He is a skilled politician I'll give him that. He does a good job of painting himself as the 'reasonable' progressive.
Salmond needed a way to square the circle to to smooth over the edges of breaking the union. Way to have his cake an eat it.
He wants to leave the union but still have fiscal/central bank influence in the union, but cleverly he pitched it as if we wanted to prevent him using Sterling. This is totally nonsensical. He could use the Rand, Ruble, Rupee , Sterling, Euro, Dollar their own currency fixed or floating, whatever. We can't prevent him. If you leave a union you can't make demands of a bank of a union you no longer want to be apart of. However he played it very skillfully, as most people are pretty clueless about how currency works.
He actually wants Scotland to join the EU (independently from the UK), then expects this accentuation process to be streamlined, despite EU leaders saying it won't. It is quite clear he his not dumb enough to join the Euro, at least yet. it is ironic, that not only does he want to break a union of centuries, which also has strong cultural ties. He want to join a union which isn't even fully democratic. Scots culture is often billed as distinct from English however the history say otherwise. The reality is much of Scots Culture is closely related to Anglo Saxon cultures. Even linguistically. Modern dialect in the north of England, and Scots use a lot for the same word with comes from Northumbrian Old English, which is Germanic. E.g bairn, Bonnie, canny, wee. This was a kingdom which spanned England an scotland. The Gaels came from Ireland to colonise the west of Scotland. There is also Norse influence on some of the island (leading some to seek independence from an independent Scotland).
He expects to be in NATO, again streamlined.
He knows that Queen is popular so will keep her has head to state. This has precedent i.e. Commonwealth, however he is an avowed Republican so this is likely a ruse. I'm not a monarchist myself, but at least I'm upfront about it.
He is also been quite misleading about the history of the union. He fails to mention that Scotland tried to set up new world colonies of its own that cause it to go bankrupt (like most European nations). It made sense to form a Union. That we payed of their debts, and a condition of the Act of union that they wanted access to the colonial wealth. At the height of the East India Company half of the writer were Scottish, despite the fact that Scotland made up a small proportion of the total population of the UK.
YouTube normally has a poor record when it comes to videos and channels being taken down, but they are refusing to take the video down. Bravo, YouTube! Bravo! *claps*
