Why is every news media source slanted against Trump?
Where I live, I can tell the economy is picking up. My sister who was unemployed for the past 5 years (under Obama, btw) , finally got a nice paying job! I am also working part time and I see more businesses booming. Trump is flipping back the switch on bad Obama policies. The pipeline will be great for expansion of the economy and job growth. Lower taxes fuel the economy. The rich should not have to suffer simply because they earned or inherited what they have. We need to have a flat tax system so that its simple and easy. Also I believe in charter schools for better education. People should have choices. I don't see why this is so hard for the leftists to understand.
The news has always been a biased piece of s**t on everything.
"This just in, a guy asked a women out for coffee in an elevator, when she didn't want it. This just shows us that women are never safe from sexual assault, even in elevators."
"This just in, a black man in a grey hoodie was walking behind a woman at night time. Thankfully she got away by walking slightly faster, and the police arrested the man after being described as "a black man in a grey hoodie."

I guess you don't pay much attention. There are news sources that don't think him to be the complete idiot that he is.

Well, considering that those campaign promises he's keeping involve nativism, religious bigotry, homophobia, not to mention a move that is sure to derail any chance of Middle Eastern peace, criticism is justified.

You mean like moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem?
It's a stupid move. The embassy in Tel Aviv is already paid for. Moving it to Jerusalem will likely cost more than a billion dollars. Moving it to Jerusalem will also likely create more unrest in an area that settles down. We should be trying to encourage peace, not war.

There's not going to be peace there, and you can't dictate policy on what is or isn't going to piss off the Palestinians. There's been a large lot of land leased to America for a Jerusalem embassy since 1989, and Trump is finally going to be the one to have the guts to respect Israel's wishes. I think it's a great move.

Nativism - Talk about that damn wall; and no, it isn't just about illegals, as Trump's supporters are dead set against immigration of any kind, especially if it involves darker people. Think about the shoddy way Trump is treating the Dreamers, or how he wants to limit immigration to only educated, skilled persons (if that was always the case, chances are, you and I wouldn't be Americans today, as our ancestors had no special skills for the most part).
Religious bigotry - Trump giving into the Islamophobia of his base, blaming desperate refugees of the crimes committed against them by actual terrorists.
Homophobia - That proposed idiot freedom of religion legislation of Trump's (as if we didn't already have freedom of religion!

And I didn't even say anything yet about punishing poor people by cutting medical coverage for them and their children. Or how his tax reform is a huge tax break for the wealthy and corporations, while screwing over the poor and middle class. Or how he's jeopardizing any chance for Middle Eastern peace by giving in again to his fundie and holy howler supporters who think God will reward them for being nice to the Israelis (based entirely on an interpretation of Revelations that no legitimate mainline Biblical scholar defends), even if it causes our Arab allies to turn away from us, possibly forever.

Don't you know that conservatives never waste money? Except when they do.

1. Newsflash - EVERY PRESIDENT, both Democrat and Republican, campaign on strengthening America's borders. Those were big campaign promises from Bill Clinton and Obama too, but nobody thought it was racist when they talked about it. The rest of the stuff is just garbage you're inventing. Trump never spoke out against immigration. Mass immigration ended in the early 1900s. Things change. America could not sustain just taking everyone who felt like moving there. (I'm not American btw, I'm Canadian)
2. Religious bigotry... how? All he wanted was a proper vetting of Muslim refugees and immigrants coming in to make sure they're not bringing in terrorists.
3. Homophobia... absolutely not. He's standing up for religious freedom and something called "freedom of association". I'm not religious, but I don't think religious people and businesses should be forced to do something that goes against their religious beliefs. I don't think Muslim business owners should forced to serve or handle pork, either. It's not about bigotry, it's about freedom. Trump was giving interviews to the Advocate 30 years ago supporting gay rights. Hillary and Obama were publicly against gay marriage until a few years ago, people forget that.
Hey, OP. There's the answer to your original question.

Outright banning seven countries is more than just vetting.

These were countries that were specifically chosen by Barack Obama as "countries of concern". Handpicked by the Obama administration, not Trump.
It's a temporary ban until they could put into place proper vetting procedures to minimise the chances of letting terrorists into the country. It's not paranoia - we have ISIS claiming that their goal is sending sleeper cells into other countries, ready to attack on command. They've claimed they have tens of thousands already embedded. It's a claim that has to be taken seriously.

Oh well if they were chosen by Barack Obama, then that must mean it's ok. No wait, what makes you think I like him either? Is this the Obama defence? If Obama does it, that somehow justifies it?

No, I gave you solid reasoning as to why it is justified. Telling you that Obama handpicked these countries has nothing to do with justifying it, just shows that Trump didn't just pull these countries out of his ass - they were picked by a guy who most people would agree is not racist or Islamaphobic.
