Whenever I read the parroted line about how Obama brought healthcare to millions, I have the urge to elaborate on what that really means. That it's available, but for millions who don't qualify for subsidies, it's unattainable because it's way too expensive ie $200 per month (single person) with a $10,000 deductible.

Yet many still don't, while small businesses rarely do.
Obamacare isn't perfect by any means, but it's working very well for me and mine. But I agree, people who had had healthcare coverage shouldn't have to lose it due to the mandate. Everyone should be covered, but unfortunately it's been the political right that's kept it from happening. I guess they've been sold on their Ayn Rand/Anton Levay fantasy of self reliant individualism.

I'm not questioning people for disagreeing with me, I'm questioning people for posting lies & making corrupt politics more sexist *&/or* constant tirades against anyone with any liberal view on the basis of what's been said, or not said, by handpicked lowbrow media sources. It's muckraking plain & simple if you ask me.

I find the general disdain for independent thought mean spirited & boring. I'm simply confused by the pervasive negativity in the right wing politics on here, it's not about numbers on the right or left. That image macro literally said Trump was qualified to be president when he was born; to me that's fatalistic & sets a low bar, not to mention alienating towards anyone with any negative experience of contemporary masculinity.

You don’t get to decide what’s a lie, what I’ve seen on this forum is “anything that disagrees with my beliefs is a lie” mindsets.

This forum is full of negativity left wing posts that you from my observation agree with but I find them horrible. I think a lot of them are just hurtful and lies.

I’ve seen such posts about Obama and how he was destined to be our president. You need to not take it personally it’s called hero worship and happens on both sides. If someone gets elected to office they seen as being destined to done it. I don’t think there’s destiny.

Both sides are horrible not just one.
You won’t get much Pitty from me towards the left wing after how I’ve been treated and still treated by them simply for voting trump and supporting trump.

Well ignoring science because it suits one's political interests seems to me like lying by omission. Again, I didn't say either partisan camp is better or worse, much less horrible, just that one gave me a bad impression. Not that the other didn't lately as well, but I respect the liberal tendency towards respect for the countless scientists & teachers who worked for ages so we can have better lives. The U.S. political machine as a whole is among the largest environmental catastrophes in motion we're ever seen. Remember the butterfly effect, for all we know a border wall could give us larger hurricanes.

I'm also putting a word in for the zillion or so lonely folks who don't need any more sexism around here.

Science isn’t settled it’s always being debated debunked and altered that’s science. Once we just stop asking questions and debating it isn’t science. What is known true today can be found wrong tomorrow.

Lol wall causing hurricane lol
China must be dead from all the hurricanes.
Only reason to be against is cause one supports illegal immigration.

I'm aware of the inexact nature of data, I'm referring to the wholesale denial of science entirely. That wall was an allegory, it's about the transitive property. I'm worried about the concept of being bad neighbors to any country regardless of their population flows or politics. I don't think diplomacy & executive rhetoric should be scornful or pro-violence.

Like I said I'm just pointing out that the statement that millions were given heathcare who didn't have it before, is misleading. Because millions who did have it, lost it to something they can't afford, and then get an expensive penalty for not being able to afford it.

I relish the healthcare debate any day instead of either side just saying "deal with it".

It's not conservative politics getting us nowhere, my credit for that goes to toxic meme politics. If the modern republican party did anything in the tradition of historical successes in this country I would be much more receptive.

It seems like a lot of what you're carping about is stuff that's going on in your mind, rather than actually occurring in the forum. I haven't seen anyone on WP expressing a "wholesale denial of science entirely". Maybe you need to take a time out from WP for a while.

It's been all over top of PPR lately.

No one is voting anyone off the island.

And yet millions who hadn't had health coverage were given it. That's indisputable. Like I said before, Obamacare needs to be fixed, not gotten rid of.

Excuse me but I'm not telling anyone to leave, people accused me of just that anyway & now I'm told I deserve a belittling punishment for writing my thoughts? This is rich, I'm staying.

The right wing deny/counteraccuse culture is strong here.

You very well know trolls get banned so if you label people trolls you know what will happen to them.

Well nothing requires us to put up with this "alpha male/'god-emporer'/infallible prince of reality tv" cult nor prevents us from calling them as we see them.

I'm not really concerned if people get banned for posting propaganda or lies whatever they may be saying politically. When someone bends the truth to further a political agenda it's problematic, again in no way am I saying this is limited by any partisan factor.

And why do the rest of us have to put up with the left leaning anti trump cult?
Everything you feel about them I about the liberals here. Every other post from them is about trump
Here’s a secret, if the left leaning members didn’t make so many anti trump threads the pro trump people wouldn’t have to defend themselves.

So you do want to get people banned.
Your side bends the truth non stop
Should we ban all the users on this site?

Both sides accuse the other of lying.
I know personally bunch of members here spread left leaning lies and propaganda
To support and further their political agenda.

Everything you say could be applied to the left leaning members.
I’d hope you’re not one of them which is why I’ve been trying to persuade you away from their tactics.

There's a big difference between debate & lies. I have no issues with banning someone for posting inflammatory clickbait. It's not about silencing anyone, this is the internet, they can make a new account & be nicer anytime. I don't appreciate my country being associated with chauvinistic violence & I don't appreciate supposedly patriotic attempts to shut me up.

I'm not lying about anything here, you can scrolll through miles of lies in PPR, all I'm doing is calling out a few nasty lies. The left is capable of similar deception but you don't see them locking little kids in cages

Obama did every single thing trumps done
I don’t see you ever bringing it up.
You’re just another left is the greatest left is angels left is intelligent and right is dumb person I guess.
I tried but I’m done, don’t come to me when they turn on you

You’re just being unreasonable.
I hope all the left leaning ones also get banned to
We can rename wp to the banned planet
