Nice to see you have such an open mind and don't pre-judge people...

I don't believe that all conservatives are Nazis is true nor fair. A bit more is required than simply being conservative and disliking foreigners. But Nazis were not a unique evil that just sprouted from one man's own agenda to kill a lot of people, or even culture, it was a movement that came from not fighting back hard enough against hard nationalistic stances that inevitably lead to evil. And very similar ideologies were raising in popularity more than people would be comfortable in admitting.

And what has Antifa done to do those things. It is white supremist that have been infiltrating law enforcement, acting as sleeper agents or doing false flags to make those they oppose look worse, and carrying out terrorism from shooting up mosques, gay night clubs, and other targets that they are told are evil from right wing instigators such as Ben Shapiro and Donald Trump.

There is much talk that Antifa is not organized, but that's the beauty of a conspiracy. The left hand doesn't need to know what the right hand is doing

Well do an internet search see if you can find any official 'antifa' group...you can't because its not real. If anything the real conspiracy is acting like antifa is an organized group. If there is a terrorist organization of leftists, that just means all the more reason for gun toting right wingers to remain paranoid and scared....but the trouble is this super organized vigilante group of leftists just doesn't exist on the scale they get convinced of. If anything there are more organized right wing organizations that have done way more damage than any antifa person ever did. I have yet to hear of an antifa murdering someone...yet when you look at more right wing extremists, there have been way more cases of actual deadly violence.

So yeah I just don't think there is a horribly dangerous, super organized group of antifa ready to strike with litteral terrorism...doesn't seem there is even much of an organization to begin with at all. Literally its a few righteous street thugs who cause trouble not an actual organized group of anything.

No.

In fact any true American style conservative would be opposed to Nazism, and be equally opposed the current Nazi-lite cult of Trump because Trump dumps on conservative values (as much as he dumps on progressive values). Sadly all of the true American style conservatives have either left the GOP, or have sold their souls to the devil by remaining in the GOP which has become the cult of Trump.

I am going to lock this thread due to multiple instances of both personal attacks and derogatory generalisations about political groups such as antifascists and conservatives.

Some people have asked why the thread was allowed in the first place. There is an argument that it should have been smothered at birth as “behaviour intended to belittle or provoke”. Indeed given the framing of the opening post, it was highly predictable that the thread would contain some forms of personal attacks. However, I think most people would prefer it if we erred on the side of allowing conversations to take place. Along side the bad stuff, we’ve had a few rounds of conversation where many different sides have made their views known, which I think is a real positive and has set out quite clearly the case for and against Mr Trump’s actions.

It’s not ideal that I participated in this thread early on. I’ll see if any of the other mods think this thread is salvageable, perhaps with a change of title and the removal of some of the more heated posts.
