I agree with you, 100 percent. WP was a much more diverse and welcoming site 10 years ago.
While I will have to agree that it is unfortunate that what was supposed to be a support site for those of us on the spectrum has turned to a troll's nest, it's been that way for well over ten years without my help.

In 2011-2012 it was much more active and nasty in PPR and news. A fella could've made a good living selling butthurt salve and I was supplying most of the butthurt (i.e. Raptor's a Nazi, Raptor's a bully, Raptor's a troll, Raptor's picking on me, etc.). I had such fun being the wolf. I rose to the coveted position of WP's most despised conservative.
Since then it's been reduced mostly to fussing over Trump, and while I did vote for Trump and rest assured I will do so again, there are actually better things to do than to spar with these people about Trump or whoever else has their collective panties in knots.
In the end I can't convert them and they sure as F can't convert me.
