Throughout the history of the world God has given mankind the freedom of choice, I'm not voting for any spanish-inquistition and I'm sorry if you were mistreated T_C_O, nature and nature's God has given all humans the freedom of speech and all humans the freedom to either reject or accept what someone else says. No one has the right to force you to accept anything you don't want to and I'm sorry that you feel the way you do.

That's good, and I'm glad we don't live in dark ages anymore, that all people are forced to be religious and any other idea being taken as "heresy" and be punished, at least in the western world, although there are still some stuff that we need to change, it goes in a slow pace. But I hope we finally get there.

It is always interesting when the phrase "dark ages" is brought up. Does technology and medical science have anything to do with philosophy and religion? I really don't see the link. Spaniards were wrong to force converts like they did in Mexico and Peru and so forth, but were they in the dark ages? Their barbaric acts had nothing to do with their level of technology.

That warrant does not give Christians to right to be a religious police-force with the power to 'arrest' (convert) and beat confessions out of those that 'break the law' (don't believe).

Which WP members are suggesting that the above should be done?

I'm not, I would like freedom of speech though and some respect.

Thanx parakeet, I wasn't having a go at you directly, or even the others; I just felt really pissed of by the 'evangelizing' that seemed to be going on, and how it seemed that we as unbelievers were picking on you. If we can discuss things, even though we have opposing beliefs, that would be fine.

Ragtime: you and Johnny, however, have been a great deal over-zealous in some of your remarks toward people, and whilst you hold with your beliefs about your god, you do both come across as being very self-righteous even bordering on pompous. If you want people to talk to you, even in a religious forum, don't come across like fire and brimstone preachers and accept when someone disagrees with whatever you've said. We are all meant to be free thinkers, and have our own opinions; parakeet has acknowledged this, and that's cool. Now if you two could come to that same realization, everyone might be able to get along. Because really, when you get down to it, there is far more other stuff in the world to worry about than fighting over ones beliefs.

I still stand with Ragtime and Johnny, and why is it difficult to use the shift key around G?

Because I don't think he is the one true god. Being a pagan, means that there could be many, or one. I just don't consider Jehovah to be the one true one, tis all.

Other people do. However, you may do as you like.
