What does an allergic reaction to MMR look like?
a raised, blotchy rash (similar to a measles rash), feeling unwell and a high temperature around 7 to 11 days after the vaccination. swollen glands around the cheeks, neck and jaw and aching in your joints (similar to a mild form of mumps) around 2 to 3 weeks after the vaccination.

Conclusion: Especially in patients with an initial reaction of anaphylaxis to dairy products and high cow's milk-spIgE levels, the risk of reaction is high with the MMR vaccine.

Keywords: MMR; alpha-lactalbumin; cow's milk allergy; measles; vaccine allergy.

MMR vaccination has previously been associated with febrile seizures occurring 8-14 days after vaccination; among children aged <7 years, approximately one additional febrile seizure occurs among every 3,000-4,000 children vaccinated with MMR vaccine, compared with children not vaccinated during the preceding 30 days.
A febrile seizure is a convulsion in a child that's caused by a fever. The fever is often from an infection. Febrile seizures occur in young, healthy children who have normal development and haven't had any neurological symptoms before. It can be frightening when your child has a febrile seizure.

side effects recorded affect very small amount of people, mostly affecting immune compromised or those with allergies. Whether links to autism ??

Experts estimate that about 68 percent of the world's population has lactose malabsorption. Lactose malabsorption is more common in some parts of the world than in others. In Africa and Asia, most people have lactose malabsorption.

Most humans normally cease to produce lactase after weaning and as a result become lactose intolerant. It is, therefore, not surprising that as adults, as much as 75% of the world's human population is intolerant to ingested dietary lactose

((Indicating milk is infant or toddler food, cows milk was originally created for small children's digestive needs, preceding chicken to red meat) however cows milk isn't really infant food, but in old days a baby could survive on cows milk from one year of age, and stop breast feeding))

For people with LI, lactose in medications can lead to digestive issues. Nevertheless, it is important for both healthcare providers and patients to know the amount of lactose that can cause symptoms in those who are lactose intolerant.

Conclusions
This study revealed that lactose is predominantly used in solid forms of medication, suggesting that liquid or rectal forms may be safer options for patients with severe milk allergies or intolerance.

A significant number of NSAIDs and antiasthmatic drugs contain dairy-derived excipients.

The inclusion of lactose in medications is generally safe for most lactose-intolerant patients due to the minimal amounts used. Since our study focused on qualitative analysis, we could not determine the exact amount of excipients in the analyzed medications. Nevertheless, caution is essential for several reasons: the uncertain lactose content in many medications, highly variable and unpredictable lactose intake, patients' adherence to multi-dose therapeutic regimens, and the unpredictable effects of lactose consumption. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it is advisable to carefully consider when prescribing medications containing dairy-derived ingredients to patients with LI or CMPA.

Moreover, health professionals must closely monitor lactose-intolerant or CMPA patients to prevent non-adherence issues arising from the fear of symptoms, which could potentially compromise treatment regimens.

Although the SmPCs of the studied medications did not mention any CMP, the presence of lactose can pose a serious risk for individuals with CMPA due to possible allergic reactions. Further research is needed to ascertain the safety of lactose in medicines and its implications for patients with CMPA and LI.

Given the potential impact of lactose on the health of lactose-intolerant individuals and those with CMPA, alongside its widespread use as an excipient in medicines, the pharmaceutical industry is urged to explore suitable alternatives for producing lactose-free medicines.

In summary, thoughtful evaluation, exploring alternative formulations, and diligent monitoring are crucial to minimize these risks and uphold patient safety.

Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. (born January 17, 1954), also known by his initials RFK Jr., is an American politician, environmental lawyer, author, anti-vaccine activist, and conspiracy theorist. In 2024, he was announced as the presumptive nominee for United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in President-elect Donald Trump's second cabinet.

This means that the Secretary should have a medical and administration background to effectively manage the agencies under his or her charge

Expected to at least attempt to explain in medical overview what is wrong with certain vaccines such as DT combined, speculate about lactose in MMR, know what he's talking about. Be up-to-date on fortified foods and why before issue ban, be able to suggest alternatives pesticides that are viable and practical.

Woman or child dying due to medical issues through lack of abortion is different from birth control, it's shocking to think such primitive men wish to govern women's health decisions, this is one few exceptions I'd permit abortion which I don't actually agree with abortion, but in case of proven rape I'd allow abortion and it's his fault, and she is released of emotional burden. This is total sexism disguised as Christian values, Christian men may have blood transfusion to save their life, but this is deliberately specified in Bible as not condoned.
Other times requires girls to manage birth control or actually get married before having unprotected sex, that way at least you notified in advance he will commit as father. Sadly this means men won't be allowed to be promiscuous, as Christians they'd be required to get married.
I'm just calling out sexist roots in religion, the convenience to adopt and abandon laws by will of man and not God.

Some of worst sexists exist in South Africa as Dutch and Germans, so I'm not to delusional about men caring each one more for themselves, replace one tyrant boyfriend with different flavour, rare to find special guy you need to hold onto. Just to be fair, Boers are as bad if not worse, schauvenist.

As in the MMR case, politicians, angry parents groups, charismatic proponents of the hypothesis, and a few respectable scientists teamed up to expose thimerosal as the new villain. An organization—Sensible Action for Ending Mercury-Induced Neurological Disorders—was set up; Robert Kennedy Jr offered his support; the CDC and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) held advisory meetings; and the New York Times Magazine and the public radio echoed the story. As with the mumps virus, no plausible argument or scientific evidence to the contrary could persuade the anti-mercury crusaders.7 That no parallels could be drawn between repeated ingestion of large amounts of mercury-infested food and the exposure to minimal and controlled amounts of mercury in the vaccine, or the fact that after thimerosal had been eliminated from the MMR vaccine, the incidence of autism increased rather than decreased, did not resonate with the convinced.

Even celiac can develop later in life, whether it's connected lactose based medication as opposed to vaccine, we are not certain. Then has to be link between celiac and autism for this to be valid. Celiac develops in individuals at different ages and marked by weight loss.

Can't say.....
Decisions in the area of disease prevention require knowledge of the medical field involved and an understanding of statistics, in the absence of which no amount of communication skills and efforts would do any good.

https://www.jpeds.com/article/S0022-3476(18)31581-6/fulltext

This vaccine started in 1960 but more widely given in 2012
It is lactose-based like MMR but exposure to unborn baby may be higher risk.

I was never vaccinated during pregnancy, I had twins and one has asd the other ADHD.....so hereditary factor, how maybe my diet should've affected both babies?? Was it my celiac or the vaccines they received?

Early estimates (1960s-1970s) reported autism prevalence as low as 0.5 to 1 per 1,000 children. These figures likely underestimate the true prevalence due to a limited awareness of autism and narrower diagnostic criteria that excluded some individuals on the spectrum.

The ASD diagnosis rate was greatest among 5-to-8-year-olds throughout the study period and increased by 175% among the full sample, from 2.3 per 1000 in 2011 to 6.3 per 1000 in 2022.

I'm not dismissing Kennedy theories, just needs evidence not theory. I'm biased and open to theories, but after a while medicine requires proof.
In South Africa MMR doesn't work, my boys had measels, rubella and mumps. If children are vaccinated it reduces the symptoms we told, but it simply didn't work at all. If children are vaccinated and require school papers, assume even if outbreak at school it shouldn't affect those that are vaccinated, should affect children didn't receive shots. Not the case. After various measels campaigns and about 2000 dead infants in country, I started to not want to bother to inject my kids. Most worry was coming into contact with mother who's infant died HIP and whether to test if any other vaccines were working in South Africa. Then consider mpox and think at least vaccinating program in Africa.....
Medical community needs renewed support from community which means answers.... So Kennedy isn't completely dismissed, but rather having hope again, honestly next time I won't bother to vaccinate for MMR but that's not vaccine that's of most concern.

Dismissing Kennedy and continued vaccines that ineffective or scandals like Pfizer covid that wasn't effective due to changes in how made vs tested vaccine, is unacceptable and Biden's team had no control over this, so clearly Biden doesn't know what he's doing.

What can medical community offer to show the public that hope for vaccines, is my proposal.

The COVID vaccines did not work nearly as well as promised leading to widespread distrust of all vaccines one factor resulting in Kennedy running our health system.

Did not work as well as promised does not mean they did not work. We were promised the COVID vaccines would work like the Polio vaccines did where you took it and you were immune for life and could not spread it. The COVID vaccines did not stop the spread but lessened severity in many instances and apparently has also lessoned the chance of getting Long Covid.

Vaccines only being partially effective is not unusual. For example.

How Effective Is the Flu Shot?

Quote:
How effective is the flu shot for 2024-2025?
Flu shot efficacy can vary from year to year, depending on how well it matches circulating strains. However, it typically ranges from 40-60%.

Even if flu vaccine effectiveness dips below this range in a given year, it still offers essential protection that can keep you from getting seriously ill. A 2021 study showed that among adults, vaccination was associated with a 26% lower risk of flu-related intensive-care unit (ICU) admission and a 31% lower risk of flu-related death compared to those who did not receive the flu vaccine.2

According to CDC, vaccination against the flu has also been linked to:

Lower rates of hospitalization for people with chronic lung disease and diabetes

Lower rates of certain cardiac events among people with heart disease, particularly for those who have experienced a cardiac event (e.g., heart attack) in the past year

Reduced risk of flu-related complications from chronic lung disease (e.g., chronic obstructive pulmonary disease/COPD) resulting in hospitalization

One problem today is our expectations. Want to solve a problem just Google it or use AI and it just works most of the time. Sometimes life is not like that.

Also there is no such thing as no risk. Vaccines carry a risk of vaccine injury. When you take a vaccine most likely you will gain some benefit without the vaccines harming you. People approve vaccines knowing it is going to harm if not kill people but under the exception the amount of people harmed will be very small and the amount of people gaining benefit vast. Sometimes they are wrong.

The above article isn't new, for many years visa applications from 3rd world countries were not recognised, at first I was like oh.
But Africa doesn't make own vaccines, assume we all get this from same companies, right? It affects us all who live here even their own British settlers.
Rotavirus was new immunisation, not available to everyone: expensive. But I asked Laura about private vaccines, she said cost more but give same vaccine. I noticed many British kids also off sick with mumps, so it got all of us here.
I do from time to time worry that some serious vaccines don't work, I'm sure there are others who feel better knowing their kids protected.

Sister in law had her pet privately vaccinated to travel to USA, she was obviously oblivious to our response and cost was dear insult. I find this is just one example where australians seem more human in response, more communicable and better relations. I think it's that Biden smug British condoscending way that influenced America, speaking to Irish I've found again we can agree on a lot, often.
