Unless you research or venture out into space yourself - how can you know real facts - so its the unknown

Gravity, maybe. I'm no physicist.

A supermassive black hole.

Even stupidity can't escape its gravitational pull!

The strong nuclear force :P

And to those who say we don't experience it in daily life... I sure hope you are experiencing it every instant of every day. I'd hate to see what you (or anything else) would be without it.

Gravity is actually the weakest of the 4 fundamental forces, weakest by a LOT. :P

The stupidity eventually comes back out as Hawking Radiation.

This discussion is pointless. We have not even broken the surface of the last frontier, and blow me if a mortal Earth-dweller knows what the most powerful force in the universe is in this day and age.

I'd say that heat death is a pretty good bet, actually. Assuming the theory is correct, nothing is more powerful.

Yeah but two things on that, for as f'd as this world is its really not such a bad thing. That and it only applies to living organic matter - an asteroid, cosmic dust, completely indifferent to it.

True. I suppose that I was leaning more towards 'power over' rather than 'powerful'. After all, the entire Universe collapsing in on itself has an undeniable physical power over everything present in the universe at that time - but it doesn't honestly bother *me*, seeing as I'll be long dead by then. And of course, as you say, asteroids probably aren't that bothered by ceasing to exist.

I suppose that 'fear of death' is another good one.

I consider myself lucky that I'm over that. To me, even if atheistic oblivion is the reality, I'm indifferent - this world is shite, its not my kind of place, and if anything it would take off an extra 50 years of struggle.

Aw, Techie. You don't really mean it. Only half the world is shite.

I do mean it - it really has nothing to do with people or types of people. I'm just disgusted by the fundamentals that our reality and this world are built on.

Like what? Greed, power, and dishonor? Yeah, you might be right.
