They could put up a row of signs that say,

Welcome To Texas
Please Remove Your Hats And Check All Firearms
No Belt Buckles Larger Than Six Inches
No Vehicles Over Three Tons

That was part of the deal, but it didn't work out to good.

The Chinese got a franchise to operate duty free stores in all the border states, so their consumer stuff would be even cheaper and they'd sell more, but nobody in Oklahoma had any money and nobody in Louisiana could understand any technical equipment except the hammer.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

One problem of building a "Great Wall of Texas;" How LONG will it take? I'm quite sure the majority of the population in Texas would flee to Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana before the foundation of the wall is even drilled into the ground!

Well, how long did the Berlin wall take to costruct? Or the wall separating North and South Korea?

I think that the border fence along Mexico is already done--so at least Mexico doesn't have to worry about runaway Texans.

Otherwise, if we resurrect the Dred Scott decision, then runaway Texans who enter the USA will just have to keep on going until they reach Canada.
