^^ I want to live in a house exactly like SSSniperwolf's (Or the one she presents out of I'm sure many houses she owns) with great views over a city from a mountain. I want her dogs too. I want to BE SSSniperwolf.

i'd be reasonably happy if my present tin can was atop a wooded cliff overlooking the pacific ocean, with a pathway leading to the beach below. :)

I wouldn't mind an ocean view either. I seem to be drawn to cities. I like the way cityscapes light up at night, like stars.

the best place to be then would be a place like sunset beach at the end of the strip in LA, get the best of both worlds but you have to be megamillionairish to live there.

I really really want to be rich.

truly rich [as opposed to being a demigod like warren buffet or the sultan of Brunei] would be at least 7 figures per year [if you are single] or 8 figures if you are married with children]. at that rate, you don't have to be especially prudent, you can hire an excellent money manager who will keep you farting through silk sheets for the rest of your life, same for your descendants and so on. at that rate you will have dynastic wealth in a generation or two. think along the lines of your typical celebs of grade A rank [madonna, tom hanks et al].

Did you find that film difficult to understand in my Colin Firth thread?

Could not locate Colin Firth thread sorry .

This one. You don't have to watch the whole film (It's not bad, but not the best. Always good if you're a Firth fan), just skip to parts of it. The beginning starts off with the accent.

Saw it it was a very good scene but actually had no issues with the accent .. it did not sound very thick . But much of the conversation seemed to be with the eyes . If i listen carefully and the person are not speaking in Gaelic or some equivolent , usually cant get what is said pretty well.
thank you for sorting that thread for me. :D

I've only just seen this. Did you watch the one titled, "Celebration" or the one at the top? I was referring to the Celebration one, in the post at the end.

The thing about people wanting to leave America... It seems that other countries still decide to copy America's politics though. For example, I live in Canada, and when America decided to go through this whole liberal vs conservative phase, Canada is now slowly doing it too more and more. When America legalized cannibis for example, Canada decided to as well. And the UK, has copied America's liberal vs conservative war too now it seems.

So it seems that even if Americans wanted to leave, the rest of the world wants to copy American politics, so is there any really escaping America therefore really?

Yeah I guess Asia has some areas that are not affected by American politics either to move too. However, it seems to me that the problem with American culture is that a lot of people just can't seem to accept the fact that crap happens. They get obsessed with ever issue, and cannot live with it. But why is it so hard to accept that fact that crap happens and that's life? Wouldn't people just sleep easier if they accepted that fact?

But I think some things can't be cleaned up and you just have to live with but everyone is desperately trying or whining about it.

i respectfully disagree. all problems can at least have some of the rough edges filed off of them. it just takes some imagination and consensus.

Let's see brutal winters and sky high taxes. Iceland is interesting though. It was settled by Vikings and the geographic isolation meant the old Norse language was preserved pretty much in tact. If you want to hear the language of Eric the Red it's the closest you can get.

Maybe I am just pessimistic about that, but it seems that a lot of people in the US have a lot of built up negativity towards each other, where as I am pretty mellow about things, and let it roll off my back more. So is being pessimistic about the problem bad, if it means you can be more mellow and have more piece of mind as a result?
