Well, this could cost Mr. Boner his re-election, or, at the very least, his speakership. If he dares show up at a tea party, then he will certainly be tarred and feathered, and possibly lynched.

He ought to have enough money to pay cash for any medical service he might need or want.

Barring that, one of the Koch Brothers would gladly cover his costs.

But, if they turned greedy, then the obvious, non-hypocritical solution would be for Mr. Boner to die cheerfully in a gutter, and declare himself a martyr for the faith.

I don't think desperation is the right word, laughing all the way to the ballot box is more like it. Obamacare has been a complete and utter disaster, only the most extreme of bootlickers can't admit that. They're going to wish they delayed the law until after the 2014 elections when they had the chance, they made their bed now.

After so much crying and whining about Obamacare, and doing his level best to destroy it, even John Boehner has signed up. :D

I don't understand, I thought all congressmen/senators had free health care for life, why would he have to sign up for it?

Part of Obamacare was requiring Congressmen and Senators to give up the government health care, and sign up for Obamacare (if they wanted health insurance).

Some federal employees and retirees are wary of this provision, because, until now, federal employees and retirees had access to the same health plans that members of congress voted for themselves.

We still have the Federal Employee Health Benefits, but members of congress are no longer entitled to it.

This should be helpful to the general public in making our elected representatives more aware of the public's health care needs. What they are voting for the public, they are also voting for themselves.

As I understand it, social security and medicare had had rickety beginnings, as well. Both those programs have worked out pretty well in the end.

Then those are not libertarians, regardless of what they call themselves.

With the amount of venom directed at the Republicans and "Tea Party" people on this site, I have to wonder if those of you who do that really believe that the Democrats/Liberals really give a flying fig about your welfare?

I have to believe so, as they are the ones actually promoting social programs, and are defending civil rights, workers rights, and consumer rights laws.

by dint of their acts, they [the dems] are less evil-behaving towards me than GOPTP have been, at all levels. I choose the lesser of two evils.

So you get to define us by the members you choose who represent a definite minority and are out of step with mainstream libertarian thought, and when I complain you call NTS? Do you enjoy being defined by the worst members who call themselves by your various labels?
