Joe Biden Confuses Wife And Sister On Super Tuesday Stage
Former Vice President Joe Biden confused his wife for his sister Tuesday night when introducing them on stage as he celebrated big wins in the Super Tuesday primaries across the country.
“By the way, this is my little sister Valerie!” Biden said as he grabbed his wife’s right hand. “And I’m Jill’s husband,” he added when reaching for his sister’s....
Biden, the gaffe-prone candidate also made a series of slip-ups on Monday in Texas on the eve of the Super Tuesday contests where he forgot the Declaration of Independence and attempting to get the crowd excited for “Super Thursday.”
“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” Biden began. “All men and women created by- go- you know- you know the thing.”

I'd vote Trump over Biden.

The Trump effect on the Democratic race
It has been quite a seesaw ride. Biden lead consistently in all the polls before any actual votes were cast then after Sanders Nevada blowout it looked like the young socialists had kicked the Ok Boomers to the curb. The Democratic establishment (and never Trump conservatives facing a Sanders Trump election) were in a panic. The argument that voting the lesser of two evils(neo-liberals) had seemingly been shown to be a failure in the past had seemed to have won the day. Then in quick succession Biden's South Carolina landslide, Klobuchar and Buttigieg dropping out and endorsing Biden followed by Biden's Super Tuesday near sweep. Those in the way of progress "moderates" are still the majority of the party after all appearently.
Ironically black and older voters did not vote the way the young woke progressives wanted.
The Trump effect seems to be as follows.
People voted for Biden as the "practical" candidate because they think Trump proved America is too racist and sexist to elect a black, or a gay man.
What is less talked about and the reason I wrote this piece about is the greatly lowered expectations of presidential candidates post 2016. As Darmok and many others have pointed out Biden has shown signs of senility. Even in the last debate, by far his best performance, he faded at the end. Even if you do not believe the Biden is losing it theory ie Biden is just being Biden the idea of a front running candidate having such a chopped up speech pattern and consistent errors prior to 2016 would have never occurred to me. Yet that so many Democratic voters believe that he is the best candidate to beat Trump and would make a better President then Trump says something really bad. Senility is better then senility with narcissism I guess.

he probably just forgot to take his sudafed. either way he will crush biden and win another four more years. it would be incredible to see biden not piss his pants during any debate with agent orange. credit where credit is due, trump is good at eviscerating and embarrassing verbally his opponents and this is something i wish bernie would take a note or two on - after all, it's a winning strategy - and i believe his softness and unwillingness to go after his opponents in the way they all went after him lately, contributed partly to his dismal and depressing super tuesday performance. TAKE THE GLOVES OFF ALREADY.
biden - he has one foot in the grave already and all the signs of cognitive decline are there. look at a video of him debating sarah palin in 2008, the difference is night and day. those pushing him to run now are committing elder abuse.
there are still many states to go and it's not over until it's over but as it stands now america pissed away it's latest chance to join the rest of the enlightened world and now all the stupid motherf***ers are going to pay the price. there will be no accountability in DC. there will be no positive change the next term. climate change will get worse and nary a thing will be done about it. i am going to keep immersing myself in spanish and see if i can find a way to eke out a living in northern spain. hopefully europe hasn't been turned into an extension of the sahara desert by then.
being born in america is like getting front row tickets to the freak show, george carlin said that, anyway.
- this has been joe biden, and...wait? what was i talking about? where am i??

Biden Won Super Tuesday Because He Won Voters Who Decided Late
On Super Tuesday, it was better late than never for former Vice President Joe Biden. Late-deciding voters, that is. One consistent trend across the country was that voters who made their minds up in the last few days moved toward Biden, helping him win some states unexpectedly and run up bigger margins in others. Biden’s strength among late-deciding voters was further evidence of his stunning turnaround since the Nevada caucuses — rising from a distant second to Sen. Bernie Sanders and competing with former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to the race’s front-runner.
Based on preliminary exit poll data from 10 Super Tuesday states,1 Biden won at least 40 percent of the late-deciding vote in every state except for Sanders’s home state of Vermont. In six states, Biden performed at least 16 percentage points better among late deciders than early deciders. Conversely, Sanders did far worse among late deciders, harming his chances of winning some states.
Minnesota stands out as the state where Biden benefited most from late deciders. The departure of Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar from the presidential race on Monday, along with her endorsement of Biden, helped push enough voters into Biden’s camp for the former vice president to win the state by 9 points — particularly impressive considering Sanders had a 2 in 3 chance of winning Minnesota when Klobuchar left the race, according to our model.
Two other states with big gaps: Massachusetts and Maine. Biden won the former by 7 points, and he leads by a point in the latter, though the race remains too close to call. (Some outlets have called it.) Biden only had about a 1 in 4 shot of winning Maine and a 1 in 5 chance of winning Massachusetts when we froze our forecast the morning of the election, but big margins among late deciders — and a large number of late deciders — put Biden in a strong position in both states.
If we dig a little further into the differences between early and late deciders, Maine, Massachusetts and Minnesota illustrate how one group — white voters — played a key role in Biden’s success. Each state’s electorate was at least 80 percent white. Gary Langer, ABC’s polling guru, reported on election night that, in aggregate data across all states with exit polls,2 Biden won 52 percent of white voters who decided in the last few days compared to just 21 percent among those who picked a candidate earlier. That 31-point margin was the largest among any racial or ethnic group for which we have data.
But white voters weren’t the only group that saw a major gap in late and early deciders. Langer’s election night analysis found that Biden won 38 percent of Hispanic voters who decided late versus just 20 percent of earlier deciders. That kind of margin may have helped make a difference for Biden in Texas, where he won by just 3 points. Hispanic voters made up about one-third of the Texas electorate, and about a quarter of them decided their vote in the last few days. Of those, 34 percent backed Biden, compared to 23 percent of the earlier deciders.
There was less of a gap among black voters, as both early and late deciders were with Biden.
Overall, the last-minute withdrawals by Klobuchar and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, along with Democratic leaders’ endorsements of Biden after South Carolina’s primary, may have done just enough to move many uncertain voters toward Biden. If Biden goes on to win the Democratic nomination — no certainty — the frantic couple of days between South Carolina and Super Tuesday will be remembered as an inflection point in the 2020 primary.
The western states that Sanders won are heavily mail in meaning voters in those states voted before South Carolina changed the race.

It may be someday but the Democratic party is not the party of the woke or the socialists now. With Bloomberg dropping out and throwing his money behind Biden the moderates/neoliberals have coalesced around Biden at lightning speed.
I expect Warren to drop out and endorse her friend Sanders in short order. That is the only slim hope the progressive wing has ATM.
As the front runner Biden he will be under uber scrutiny. I don’t think this will knock him out people know basically who he is and voted for him anyway. Even if somehow this scrutiny makes him unpalatable I doubt the replacement will be a progressive.

I agree with all of what you've said. Plus, Biden will have the almighty media to hype him and also to run interference and cover (up) when necessary.
He got 44 delegates at a cost of about $12 million per delegate.
As others have observed, "If only Bloomberg had hired Russians to buy $100,000 in barely literate Facebook ads, instead of spending $700 MILLION, he’d be president now. That’s what the media have told us for 3+ years."
Bloomberg suspends presidential campaign, endorses Biden
Michael Bloomberg, who spent hundreds of millions of dollars to self-fund his 2020 presidential run, announced Wednesday that he is suspending his campaign after a poor performance on Super Tuesday and will endorse Joe Biden.
