I will never not like Trey Parker and Matt Stone. In 1998 i was 10 years old. And i was perfectly in tune with their sense of comedy. And i guess still am.

This is really a stereotype from a bygone era to me. The left are screaming a lot louder about those things now.
We are not living in the '80s. Probably a few old guys, but I can't really find anyone who is classical liberal or conservative that considers shows like that as big of a deal today. And "South Park" especially is more centrist in it's commentary. Yeah, maybe a few conservatives will still bat their eye because the content is vulgar, but it's not like it is a far-lefty show.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Public broadcasters can reorient themselves to distribute online, but there's also lots of great subscriber funded content and lots of stuff available for free on different Tube style sites.
In a lot of ways the bar for doing something analogous to public-access has been greatly lowered. The downside is that there's more crap out there but the upside is how much solid content in available, so long as one is willing to wade through the rest of it.
