Warren lied about her Native American ancestry? She was only repeating what she had been told by her family. Personally, I have no doubt that she has some sort of Native American background, as so many Americans do, even if it isn't exactly where on her family tree she had thought it was.
She claimed she was Native American to benefit from affirmative action programs, this blonde haired blue eyed white woman has no verifiable Native ancestry but does have ancestor that we know was part of the Tennessee Militia who participated in the Trail of Tears. She was making this claim of minority status based on the just the belief that she has 1/32nd ancestry, she has no shame and this will not be forgotten. Terrible, terrible candidate!
Who says she lied? And who has verified she doesn't have any native ancestry?

Has she ever verified that she does?
Some of my relations,Attakullakulla,John Duwa'li Bowles,Nunna hi Dihia Pathkiller and Stand Waite.Geneology is a special interest and I could bore you to death with it.I think everyone should do it,it can be shocking and amazing to find out who you are related to.I use Geni,it's free.
I figured it might be some trend that started way back when and gets passed down from generation to generation. I think the other is claiming to be direct descendants of the pilgrims that come over on the Mayflower. I'll give Geni a try (if I get around to it). My mom's side of the family has a very extensive recorded family history including documents and photographs. I would be interested to see what the Geni site will tell me about it. I know I have great-great-great-great grandfather who's first name was Israel. Maybe I'm 1/32 Jewish.

It helps tremendously if you already have those records, that's what helped me so much.At a family reunion someone had already done the research on three family names so I was able to take off where they left off.A good percentage of Americans are related to the first settlers, maybe not Mayflower but the ships that came later. The ships kept good records of the people on them.None of mine were on the Mayflower, but some of the ships that landed afterwards. It's not that uncommon to find. They had big families.Mine were puritans and one was named Experience Charity.LOL I never thought I had any relations in New England,I figured they were all Scotch-Irish that migrated thru the Ohio valley.
Start with whatever relation is the most further back and if you luck out you may link to a family tree that's already completed.I was surprised how far back I found records. It can be sort of addictive if you find something interesting.
Once you build a good tree you can type in a name and it will find a path or not to that person.

My father's side was Dutch/German, and came here around the 1830s.
My mother's side was Russian/Jewish. My great grandfather came here around the 1890s,and sent for the rest of the family in 1910. My grandmother was six when she arrived. They went through Ellis Island.
I'm half-Jewish.

It has been researched and I am sure if there was any real evidence it would of been found, Warren's reasoning for believing it was her 'high cheekbones' and some family recipes which when researched and 'family recipes' she published in some Pow Wow Cookbook but on further review were plagiarized from the New York Times and other sources. She's a straight up fraud, Rachel Dolezal like is right so that should give us a clue to the serious delusions and self hatred that clouds her judgment. She is a blonde haired white woman, for her to claim minority status is straight up insult and evidence of her lack of credibility. I hope she does run in 2020, she will be destroyed. I am not sure she wins reelection in 2018 to be honest if the GOP brings forward a good candidate, she had a hard time with Scott Brown in Massachusetts in a presidential year.
1/32 is not enough to claim minority status, if you look white and 97% of your DNA is European then you are white regardless of what the remaining 3% is. Warren looks whiter than me and she has benefited from affirmative action just by being totally shameless, it would be one thing is she was trying to make a point about affirmative action being racist or something but she's an unironic supporter of it and a 'social justice warrior' herself.
South Park poked fun at people like this in an episode
Doing that 23andme test myself so if I'm entitled to benefits for minuscule ancestries then perhaps I should take it, I've had family in this country since the 1640s who came to the New Netherland colony so I am sure something got thrown on the woodpile somewhere along the line.
Pretend to be a minority, so people will think you're a victim of [oppression, disadvantage ....].
However, since they desire that, the opposite is likely true.
It's possible that she really believed it if she was told by family. She should have done research as an adult before claiming it however. On one of the genealogical tv shows there was a woman who was sure she was part native, her family had always claimed it.But when the records and DNA were researched it was negative.

Any relations from the Kinderhook,Albany NY area?We may he distant cousins.lol Andries Hanses Scherp is my relation from that area.
There isn't a blood quantum for one of the Cherokee nations.A direct relative on Dawes roll is all you need to claim tribal recognition.
