Aspergers and (dislike of) black culture?
I personally would rather listen to Stevie Wonder, Micheal Jackson, The Platters,
Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie or Nat King Cole to name a few of the great on my list...Great messages of Love, Hope, Change and without the unnecessary vulgarities which
just alienate and give "white folk" an excuse to their bigotry...If you send out anger that's what you'll get in return.
I just have heard a couple of songs from Lady Gaga, and she doesn't sound bad, although that may be because I'm a little into electronic music. Now the image she or other performers may portray, that is something that I often tend to dislike.
Anyway, "crap" is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? I'm not, personally, into most of modern pop music, just a small part of it, but that is related to my own taste, so I can't "objectively" say what is really crap and what isn't.

I think the thing for me is that I would be dreadfully embarassed if people thought I actually had any sort of affinity for black culture, or that I would do things like publically interracially date. Its just who I am but I would rather die than be seen in an interracial relatonship [...]
Hanotaux, I understand what you mean. I would never be associated with the typical black culture as you described it, or the so-called stoners or metalheads or any type of teen-formed group that has fierce outlooks on life and society and how to generally provoke society.
And I am black.
I consider myself rather conservative, focusing on my career and family and friends. I think what you and I have is a goal to not be seen as wanting to provoke others too much or stand out in a way that can sometimes annoy those around us. And that might have actually evolved into a outlook on this black stereotype, while it's really about not enjoying standing out or people who do so.
I am in an interracial relationship with a white man, and aside from my skin color, nothing sets me apart from white people.
Not all black people are the same, and there might be a time in your life when you get to see that. But you're right: I would consider being friends with a fellow black man or woman, but if they're blasting out obscene rap songs, wearing their pants around their butts and more fake gold than actual clothing: NO WAY IN THE WORLD I would.
My school, actually has a high population of neo-NAZI's, also, a high population of Polynesians/Maoris. This is odd, but the neo-NAZI's engage in studious activities, whereas the P/M's engage in scamming food and listening to loud music. I am definately closer to the neo-NAZI side, but I do not have a shaved head!

Thank you so much for saying this and for expressing what I tried(but apparently failed) to get across.
Sadly, a few people seem to think if you choose to avoid the people you describe in the quote above, you are a terrible awful racist. Even if I was desperate to 'embrace diversity,' I'd not dare approach any of this crowd for fear of my safety, TBH.
I was in the Army actually, and the USA Army is very diverse these days. I've associated with many minorities who were definitely far greater to be around than the ones who were bussed into my school from the inner-city. TBH, in the Army, I had no interest in making friends or anything with anyone regardless of race(I never have ever.) In my personal life, I'm always cordial with everyone but the thing is that I have no desire to ever take any friendship to "the next level," where we actually socialize outside of a work setting. Thats just me though as I hate diverting time to social activity.
I know I've caused a bit of drama with my first 100 or so posts but I felt I had to get some feelings and thoughts off my chest that have been bottled up in me for years. For some reason, things just sort of came out of me. I have views that go to both ends of the political spectrum but something just came over me and I felt I had to post on these topics.
I do not care wether some people refer to me as a 'racist' for choosing to eschew the types of individuals described in your above quote. I could not stomach a minute surrounded by that type of awfulness with the rap music, tacky clothing, and just all of that. I could never tolerate it. I see it around me constantly though and it terrifies that this 'gangsta' ideal could actually become a dominant cultural influence...............
Or mabye I'm just the same as the old fartbags who blasted the degenerate "Rock and Roll" music back in the 50's and 60's.
Also, I have a number of cousins and other younger relatives(who are white), who love rap-music and who are completely taken in by all of the 'gangsta' culture. They buy the tacky ball-caps and wear them backwards, and blast rap-music loudly all over the place. I'm talking ages 8-18 here and listening to music about slapping b*****es and h0es and all of that, and the cursing. Its honestly awful. They idolize these hideous looking rappers with gold chains and festooned tattoos. I don't know how, even if they are pretending to like it or are just in a generational rebellion, that they can internalize this sub-culture in this manner. Its really beyond me They buy all of the FUBU clothes and big shirts and all of that. It honestly disgusts me to even think about.

But that's culture, not race. There are all sorts of black people with very different cultures.
Find one black country or culture outside of the USA that actually has a halfway-decent standard of living at present?
What current black country is actually a decent place to live? Thats what I thought.
I would say mabye Black British would be OK but I still wouldn't exactly jump at the thought of living in that community.
South Africa doesn't count either, even though the status of that country as "having a decent SOL" is arguable at present. Whites built the infrastructure of SA before Apartheid ended and now, the only growth industry in South Africa is security.

Have you investigated why the countries of Africa are such a mess? It's very profitable for the west to keep them that way.

Though on another thread you appear to be happy to describe yourself as a racist, racialist, isolationist etc.
You appear to suggest that you would not hire a black person.
I am not into gangsta rap or gangsta culture. But you and others at times speak as though gansta culture is synonymous with black culture. That is where people take issue and get angry.
I am not overly fond of neo nazi skinhead culture. But I don't let that affect my feelings to towards white people in general.
If I saw a group of skinheads coming towards me I probably would be worried and try to avoid them.
But if I encountered a skinhead away from his little gang I would be happy to talk to him.
I have become good friends with people who previously would have called themselves racists.
So for me, just because someone is a skinhead and has been known to hang with a fairly bad crowd does not mean they must be a bad person. Everyone is an individual and away from the group you could perceive then very differently.
Some may consider that wussy liberal thinking. But as we have seen in places like Northern Ireland keeping apart and refusing to talk does not get the job done.

You are still not getting it. Black British is a not a culture. There are many cultures of people who have black skin in Britain.
Is there really only one white culture in the USA?
