Ishmael was Abraham's bastard son.

No. Offspring of concubines were perfectly legitimate. Especially since Sarai offered Hagar to her husband.

Otherwise, most of Jacob's sons would have been defined as "bastards", and not received a paternal blessing.

They had lower standards in those days of yore.

As it turned out, Abraham at Sarah's insistence tossed both Hagar and Ishmael out of the camp.

Yes, of course.

Wait a minute, you're Jewish too, aren't you?

:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

You must have figured out that Conservative Christians are supposed to bless you, and do all of your household chores for you. Just like Glenn Beck read about in the Book of Ruth.

If you're asking him to advocate for government to raise his taxes, I don't think he is inclined to pay more when Government is just going to spend it on studying prostitutes and jello parties.

How about spending it on medical coverage for the poor, or nutrition for expectant mothers and their babies. Kind of funny how a guy who's against abortion isn't interested in taking care of unborn children and their mothers.

Fox News personality Glenn Beck raised more for charity in 2010 than any other celebrity, according to CharityFolks.com, who reports that he raised over $1 million for the Special Operations Warriors Foundation, which gives scholarships to the children of special-operations personnel killed in battle, and financial assistance to wounded soldiers.

Beck offered in an auction to take someone (as of July the bid was $75,000) on a helicopter ride over New York City while pointing out historical landmarks, followed by a home-cooked meal at his home in Connecticut to raise money on CharityFolks.com.

Kinda funny that he actually spends time to raise money for charities.

Charities are great - but they only have a short term effect. I'd rather see him fighting for permanent care for the disadvantaged, which can only be done by the state.

It is not a matter of the government being the parent; rather it can provide permanent care to people in need.

However government has control of every aspect of your life in theory, because they are paying your medical bills, and everything you do can be tied to the bill government is paying.

I hardly think other western industrialized countries have such controlling, totalitarian governments to go along with government paid for medical.
