Visagrunt, the 2005 instruction happened after the years in which I was heavily connected to religious of the church, but it reads to me as reactive. I can pm you more on that, but I won't post it.

I will only repeat that I know as a fact that gay priests continue to be welcome. If there has been a sea change shift in that because of one instruction, it has not reached my ears, and I would be surprised to find that such a shift could happen without some rumbling on the ground getting to me. Not impossible, but I would be surprised.
