Would you date a feminist?
Men can be feminists, too.
I believe lots of things were not to the advantage of the female gender up until recent times in the Western World.
However, same with slavery, I don't believe men must make "reparations" for what occurred in the past, nor should men today be associated with the sins of men during past times. I believe many men have "seen the light," and do not believe that woman are some second-class species. They are feminists in the broad sense of the term.
Similar to debts---in most cases, the debts of parents are not the debts of their child.
A 17 year old Feminist isn't so far-fetched, in fact, this millenial generation about my age are absolutely full of little third-wave feminists.
And their boyfriends? Somewhat submissive males who are also 'feminists' and coincidentally almost always skinny guys, slightly effeminate, extremely nerdy/geeky.
Every girl I've dated has constantly been infected with this trend.
I believe, when it comes to dating, for the first three dates, whoever does the asking should do the paying, out of politeness and courtesy, and then after that it should be split.
Instead, every gal I've dated has absolute insisted on always paying for everything for herself - even my ex-girlfriend's mother suggested I should be the one who pays for our third date 'to treat her' as her family payed for me when I first met them, but that never happened.
I'm too traditional and chivalrous sometimes for these neo-feminists.
And those same girls cheat on those guys with muscular men, yet they would never date muscular men. Men with muscles equates to higher testosterone. Men with higher testosterone aren't as easily manipulated.

Do you have any studies to prove that theory? Some of the most cunning and strategic leaders in history did not have muscular bodies.
I have read that Alexander the great chose generals based on their jawline as a larger has emphasized conquest and dominance. Rounder faces tend to indicate a more democratic and diplomatic approach, Clinton and Obama are indicative of this.

Regarding what? Muscular men having higher T levels, or feminists dating skinny guys and cheating on them? Personal experience, as well as the experiences of everyone I've talked to who has dated a "feminists". I highly doubt there have been any official studies done. If they attempted such a thing, the researches would probably be labeled as sexist by the SJW community. It sounds like I'm joking, but I am not.

Yeah and Alexander the Great wasn't alive during third wave feminism. Also, having power will attract the opposite sex, no matter what your body type is.
I am not a feminist because I do not support the dominance of a certain gender, I support equal rights. I do not support labels that paint a black and white side, there is always a middle ground.
Patriarchy isn't always positive if that position of power is abused. The domestic violence rate in Russia far exceeds any Western country and they practice Patriarchy very strongly.
We should not see ourselves as different labels but as equals, men and women should be free. I am a firm believer in democracy and that women have a right to choose. Power can corrupt anyone, regardless of gender.
I would prefer to date a feminist over a woman that was submissive because tradition or law dictated it.

How do you explain the large number of athletes that are easily manipulated in the financial world? Many basketball players are muscular with high levels of testosterone.
There isn't any correlation or evidence that points to testosterone giving powers of manipulation.
I agree CommanderKeen.
I was friends with a group of geeky/hipster Feminist girls my age, and none of them were attracted to me. The only ones that were was the snobby, uptight, catty girl and the snobby, uptight, effeminate gay guy - and they were the non-feminist's of the group.
I'm not exactly a hypermasculine dºuche, but I do like to think I'm quite traditionally masculine and express this in my behavior.
And yes, Feminist's don't like muscular men. They find it 'intimidating'. Not even muscular men really, but lean/fit men in general. They just want thin/skinny-fat out-of-shape males. My goal body is only Michael f•cking Phelps, and feminist's still seem to think I'd be too 'big' for them.
And, yes, Nocturnus, much of what we say will be based on personal experiences.
And, I certainly believe in gender equality and people choosing who they want to have relationships with, it's just, if you couldn't already tell, it seems the type of females I'm attracted to tend to, almost always, coincidentally be Feminist's, but they're quickly turned off by my traditional masculinity.
And females that are attracted to me but where it's not mutual, subscribe to traditional gender roles.
I want to be masculine without being over-traditional. It seems difficult today.
Anyway, I honestly can't describe why I feel today's young men are more effeminate, but they are. Just look at the current pop charts - filled with Tenor voiced men, the highest male singing voice, with various gels put into their hair, makeup and face moisturizers, and skinny.

I observe this not just in music, but everywhere.
Men today seem docile, soft, catty, higher-voiced, emasculated, etc.
Even the 'masculine' boys are quite neutral nowadays. The popular boys in high school worked out and such, but they clean shaved, put all sorts of gels into their hair (the trend here in Australia), heavily used moisturizers, weren't ashamed of wearing tights on school sporting events (in which most of them did), a group of them cross-dressed proudly for a school play, openly hugged other male friends, etc.
This isn't wrong, and I'm happy men are caring more about their hygiene, but it's no denying it's a little...different, today.
From the '80s onwards, really.
My observations have been, the reason effeminate males usually date Feminist's, is because they're equally or nearly as feminine as their girlfriend's, and that's the primary basis for their connection.
Which is a part of a bigger problem I have observed in modern society - men are becoming more effeminate, but women aren't really becoming more masculine to compensate.
Are women becoming more headstrong, independent, free, etc? Yes. But traditionally masculine? No.
This may be the reason I can't connect with them.
I agree that films and music are far less traditionally masculine when compared to films from the previous decades but not just that, many films are lacking the spiritual depth of understanding and self realization. Fight Club showed the audience the realization of a man that wakes up from consumerism and materialism to find that men have lost touch the primitive and raw nature.
Masculinity and femininity are both great in their own right and the contrast between them should not be held in contempt or the belief that one will detract from the other. Traditional gender roles can complement each other under the right circumstances.
I would not class shaving or moisturizing as feminine traits myself, shaving was classed as a masculine trait of the traditional gentleman.
That is the trouble with extremist thinking, it is black and white without accounting for the grey areas of cultural or scientific progression and perception.
Only women can be feminist.
Well, he believes in gender equality and describes himself as a feminist. Why do say that only females can be feminist?
