We are just as much an animal as a tiger is. We are a different species though. In the same way that penguins and giraffes are different species. We are in no way separate from every other animal though.

Remember the alien thing? Tom Cruise might have a theory on your question. But that's another religious arena altogether. Uh, it's a religion right?

Although, Tom Cruise just might really be an alien.

How conspicuous of us. It's almost as if we're special or something. We can dare to dream, but they can't.

Evolution? Natural seleccion? Maybe. I dont know
Like the dinosaurs were ruling before, humans are now.
Maybe we are not suppose to be here

LOL There's nothing 'special' about humans. Do you never watch wildlife documentaries, Ragtime?

But animals can't hate. And they can't decide whether or not they're animals. What makes you different?

We're a renegade species that is not symbiotic with rest of the planet. Dang it. Our large brains and opposing thumbs and aliens are to blame.

What makes me different from what? Other animals or just other humans? Other animals don't think about things on the same level that most humans do. But then there are plenty of humans that have learning disabilities or mental illnesses and are the same way. Does that mean they're inferior?

I had a dog who hated my neighbor. The neighbor kicked him once and that was it. If the man came near, my dogs ears laid back and you could tell he couldn't stand that guy.

Yeah I agree, we are part of the animal kingdom, a different species, but with a notable difference from other species.

For example:
I tiger has his teeth, his claws and speed, humans don't have that, humans are physical weaker than this other species, but that compensates with the intelligence and reasoning.

Another thing. If other animals would be as self-awarness as humans are, I believe it would be conflicts and wars between humans and the other species, there would be protests against being exploited, figthing against slavery, fighting for their own freedom, for territories, etc. A horse wouldn't like having a human sitting on him, so they will object and things would get reversed.

I think we should invite him to this debate, to see what he can offer to us
Maybe all of us will end up converting to scientology after all.

I'm not converting to anything. Although I'd rather be a Scientologist than a Catholic. LOL

I think animals might be more self aware than you think. They fight over females, run in packs, care for their young, migrate. I think their scope of reality is different. I wouldn't assume they don't have personality, preferences, machinations within their existance as they perceive it.
The bigger questions might be wondered by other animals, but not voiced. How do we know what they think when they look at the stars?
