How about punished? :P

Punishing the flamer? But how hard is it to do so on the internet?

How hard is it? Depends on the punishment.

Very hard.

Ban?

They sign up a new account.

IP Ban?

TOR Gateway.

Ban That Account?

Use the TOR Gateway to get another IP.

Not if the board is hacked. Atomika is one guy with low end computer skills. If a real set of
flamers came out they'd bring someone with the skills to hack the board and disable the mods and jam Alex's controls.

Which brings me to this point: I've been labelled a troll in another forum simply because I point up my own point of view on a particular subject (I think it was something on Bush) and it happened to go against what a couple of others were saying on that topic. I also had a disagreement with calandale on something else, but we worked out our differences on that. Now, I didn't think it was fair to be labelled in that way, just because someone didn't like what I said.....

Besides, if I was, where is my bridge?

I know we have our habitual trolls, but I'd say the main problem plaguing the PPR forum is the tendency of certain regular members to disregard certain standards of debate--not Atomika types.

Now this I can get behind, most of the people here don't have the spammers will and most are just impassioned people who lose sight.

yeah and if any place would have people with the skills to hack a board...it'd be here.

I remember that book, damn good. The one's after - not so much.

Laws The Of The Internet are merely a combination of my own personal experience and the advice and opinions I have received on my wanderings through the internet.

Now THAT is one ugly dude....

And I guess he would see the proportions as being correct.

To me, Bin Laden means a container full of trash.

Isn't that the truth! It was as if Terry Goodkind sat down at his writing desk and thought, "Hmm, let's see... how many contrived references to venereal disease can we squeeze into book five?"

referencing how just a few posts earlier it was mentioned that saying the smallest thing against homosexuals was automatically labeled as homophobic even though it's not necessarily homophobic.

well my views on religion are pretty well known so from that aspect....you know what i think.

as far as what he's doing the rest of the way....it's a complicated issue that requires a lot of history. i think there's many things wrong on both sides. there's no justification for what he's done and what he's planned and inspired....but it's generally garbage on both sides.

But there was no logical link to anything relating to homosexuals. So it seemed less like a joke and more like abuse.

Oh. I've heard of flaming homosexuals, but it wasn't foremost in my mind. Blatant, camp, or effeminate are adjectives I'd safely associate with homosexuals, not flaming.

Besides, my beard is better looking.

Yes, I've heard the term 'flaming queers' before too. I guess unless they call themselves that it can be considered a bit offensive.
