That's not really what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about how Democrats and Republicans aren't too similar when it comes to deportations, but how liberals only get outraged when it's conservatives doing the bad thing, only to maintain the same damn policies when they return to power.

Oh I see, I was responding to the girl boss angle. If you go to recruitment for ICE officers (there's a lot of demand at the moment) its being pitched at women and people who are demographically (ironically) targets of ICE.

The girl-boss I had in mind was Kamala, who'd be just as bad as Biden or Obama when it comes to deportation. Liberals seem to adopt all the criticisms leftists offer towards Republicans when Republicans are in power, but don't dare speak those same criticisms when Democrats are in power, even if they're just as applicable.

They're cynical hypocrites, and that's being as generous as possible.

Isn't this what is going on with everything today? Aren't you guilty of perpetuating it too?

That also applies to their entire condemnation of the Trump admin, MAGA, the right-wing of society in general. Even Bush was called a nazi when he was in office.

There's nothing wrong with calling out terrible policies, the problem is when one utterly shuts up about those terrible policies when it's their team in office.

Leftists seem to be much more consistent when it comes to condemning Democrats for continuing/embracing far-right policies than liberals are. This means no, they're not engaging in the same hypocrisy that I'm condemning liberals for.

I'm not sure that I'm guilty of what I'm criticizing liberals for; I'm pretty quick to point out the shortcomings of liberals and liberal parties, even if I will also recognize they're generally less terrible than far-right parties. Being generally less terrible doesn't mean they don't share some of the same flaws as far-right parties and those flaws should be called out.

It seems like you don't even understand the criticism being made and just have your own axe to grind about terrible politicians and their supporters being compared with Nazis.

Democrats aren't the only ones. the use of offshore detention centres under the mandatory detaining of refugees entering Australia was introduced by left wing Labour Prime Minister Paul Keating called the Migration amendment Act 1992. It was an Australian left wing labour government that introduced the idea of holding children in detention 30 years before trump and ICE.
