Feeling a bit dumb here, are we talking about having a sticky Flame War City. ?

I do hope so, what a great idea, it wrenches at my heart being polite to some people when I just want to vent my spleen all over them.

Dent: It's a cheap parody of a scene from the movie "Fight Club." Check YouTube for it.

Damn I think a flame proof room with "Abandon Hope all ye who enter here" on the door would be great

That would also be a good post to make a sticky.

'Topic: "Abandon all hope ye who enter here."

PPR is inhabited by a number of argumentative, aggressive people who will flame you if you argue with them, especially if you do so poorly. Post at your own risk.'

In civil society, the unspoken rule of etiquette says,
"Do not talk about sex, religion, or politics."

It's a shame because these topics are the things that interest me the most. Arguing is fun to me too and people can be so defensive about their ideologies.

We need to have a sticky that warns people about our unspoken rules of debating.

Even if the mods are willing to let this area run wild, they will never explicitly endorse our culture of debate.

No one listed a race category. Why?

Because that's not relevant to politics, philosophy, or religion. Or anything else, for that matter.

Unfortunately we have the exact opposite; a sticky warning US about our unspoken rules of debating. And casualties to remind us all of consequences of failing to heed said warning :(

Well isn't it ironic that an aspie site has so many rules? Shouldn't we be free to exclaim our independent thoughts and not be bounded by the superficiality of living up to civil expectations?! !

Race isn't relevant to social, political, religious. and philosophical issues???

Actually, I was thinking the most important categories are demographic and socio-economic.

Age, sex, education level, occupation, employment status, income, nationality and ethnicity and race,
whether a person considers personal or institutional factors more relevant to his or her behavior and/or outcomes, military service, are other family members autistic, are you on wrong planet because you are autistic or because you are concerned about others who are autistic? Some information (age, region, citizenship, sex) might already by available to the administrators and could be shared with us.

I think any system of categorisation is one of belief / opinion. It is important to keep this in mind (and perspective) when looking at another's categories.

"Do you believe in God?"

If yes, you belong to the theist group.

If no, you belong to the atheist group.

Simple.

I agree, in fact it's brought up numerous times in regards to the above issues.

....Oh the irony.
