I still believe his victory was a preferable outcome to the other guy.

Please don't conflate that with fondness, affection or actual approval.

That seems to be the way it rolls here.

Normally, the people who attack Biden the most are Trump supporters, so assuming that VM was a trump supporter is understandable.

There are plenty of progressives who have no love for Biden and the Democratic Party. So it's a ridiculous assumption.

Saying it’s “ridiculous” is a bit of a stretch since those who attack Biden the most are Trump supporters.

That's a cleaver way to get people to avoid being critical of Biden. I wonder if someone come up with it or it just happened on its own.

I will never let intimidation prevent me from voicing the Truth.
If anything, it makes me more inclined to push back. 8)

I don’t think Biden is senile.

I think he puts his foot in his mouth sometimes.

Well, I think many voted for Biden exactly because he's not Trump... and they're not disappointed. He's not Trump and he's not behaving like Trump. That's not a high expectation but it's definitely met.

And yet, his support is plummeting, nontheless.

Personally, my opinion on Biden is steadily rising over time, starting from "anyone but not this idiot Trump" to now "I think what he does makes sense, at least the parts that interest me the most".
But that's an outside opinion from Europe.

Firstly, Biden's credibility has not been on a steady rise, hence one of the reasons for his poor approval ratings.
Secondly, on many occasions, his "minders" have had to walk back his comments, including the latest one where he said Amurria will defend Taiwan instead of the official line of ambiguity.
Thirdly, how can you ignore Biden's blatant guarantee, to pootin, that Amuurria wouldn't defend Ukraine, and that a limited "incursion" was acceptable?

"Curious." 8)

That's the nature of partisan politics. Everybody is expected to play the game, and if we don't, they only have one response: If you don't like our team, then you must be on the other team. It's infinitely frustrating for those of us who have removed ourselves from the left/right paradigm.

Total agreement.
There is a definite binary, with some members.
And they simply refuse to accept the concept of a centrist political position.

Whatever the case, the Democrats need to find someone else in the next election.

BTW, I don't want Trump to get in again.
He wasn't as supportive of Australia, with his isolationist politics.
Biden was, and obviously, I am thankful for that. 8)

They’ll find “someone else” if that’s necessary.

We need someone who is strong enough to help people to respect each other.

KK is the obvious choice, despite his good feelings towards Australia - only drawback.

A candidate’s sex appeal is of the utmost importance. Everything else is secondary.

Then KK will be a bona-fide winner.
