Well Merkel isn't dead from amphetamine withdrawal complications nor is trench warfare still apropos (thanks NATO!)...

I don't really see the coherence in spending 20+ years obtaining control of anything one hates. Nope, sorry. That doesn't track.

Merkel does love Germany, and yes, Obama loves America.
And just how did Merkel destroy Europe? By allowing desperate refugees to come to somewhere safe?

Unreal. If Merkel put any more enthusiasm into being presented with the German flag, I might just be able to work myself up to being underwhelmed. As it is, she just can't seem to get rid of that flag fast enough.

What Europeans are those? Germany and Merkel are hated across the continent for their autocratic tendencies , being the queen of neoliberalism and the forced austerity hasn't won her many fans on the continent and neither has her forced open borders. Europe is not a single country even if it might be controlled by one.

Not everyone in Europe feel that way about the Germans or Merkel. And even more Europeans see Trump as a buffoonish clown who they would never rely on as leader of the free world.

Don't know, last polls I read seem to suggest the German population prefer Schutlz as the next prime minister, probably because he is not Merkel. Of course it possible that he does so well because a significant number of Germans are afraid to voice open support for Petry. And for those few Dutch news sites that still have comment sections; if Merkel is mentioned in the comments, it is not in a positive light. For other countries, I can talk about Greece where she is being compared with a certain corporal.
