censorship
Censorship should never be used 50%  50%  [ 25 ]
It should only be used if it protects the public from harm 28%  28%  [ 14 ]
Censorship prevents stupidity and opposition so I am all for it 2%  2%  [ 1 ]
Not sure 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Should be used in moderation if the situation calls for it 20%  20%  [ 10 ]

I don't think so, I have only reported things that have involved threats, or long term harassment, neither of which have occurred to me particularly often. You may not believe me but I find our occasional passive-aggressive exchanges very amusing in a good way

Aside from obvious things like spam, IMHO those two things should largely be the only causes of official action in PPR; trying to police this place for "offensive content" and "hate speech" just causes more trouble and creates more member/moderator friction than simply letting the purveyors of those things reap what they sow in terms of member response. Telling people that they can't even talk about certain subjects just lends those subjects a certain nobility of persecution, where simply allowing them to be shot down in open discussion is both easier and more likely to cause people to rethink their views. I think this forum is actually more self regulating than most people would give it credit for, especially compared to a real cesspit like L&D... :lol:
