Ants are good bushtucker where I live (specifically green ants; they're high in Vitamin C too, so you have scurvy prevention right there too if you can't find fruits). :)

I've always been fascinated by the idea of hunting and fishing, but I have never done it. I would say that it seems like a primal instinct, but I'm female and women didn't have that role way back when (or now).

Personally, I've found it to be more related to where you're born and the interests of your parents (certain areas equaling more people doing a certain thing), rather than sex differences (granted, men will often take such up more of their own volition).

I was taught to fish from an early age (I have a picture of me catching a fish that I can't even remember), and I live on the coastline, where fish are abundant and fishing is an appropriate hobby for people.

If you're born and live further out, in rural areas, hunting tends to be the "fishing" there.

For those who live in the suburbs and cities, that are away from the coastline and rural areas, there's not much chance for people to be brought up in this way.

All ways are valid, of course.

You first. Be sure to impress on them how simple it is to "Just move" or "Just learn chemistry and agriculture".

The human race has become very parasitic. Not just towards animals, but towards the environment and other humans. It's only going to get worse as the world population continues to increase. Humans are dependent on this lifestyle and there is no easy way to fix this. I used to think that there was no way that I could ever give up meat, but today I feel like I could. Maybe I will at some point in time after I become an independent adult. If I do, I probably won't completely stop eating meat, just cut back on it a lot. I'd become semi-vegetarian, but not completely vegetarian. It's not like me to have a strong commitment to anything. If I became strictly for or against anything controversial like this, I could become fanatical, or start resenting people in a way that would undermine my own values. It's my ambivalence that prevents me from becoming prejudiced. I don't strongly cling to any political views, only philosophical and humanitarian views. I cannot change other people, I can only change myself in the way that I'd like to see the world change. If I do decide to become completely vegetarian, it will only be for myself, and I will not expect others to follow nor attempt to get others to follow.

There are quite a few women in this area that are avid and excellent fishers and hunters, the men kinda hold you in high esteem
A friend hooked up with a lady that was not exactly eye candy,he told my ex" She may not look like much, but she sure can skin a squirrel."They were together till he died.

^^^ Get over the fact that I don't care at this point at least I'm not ramming it down peoples throats and telling their way of life is wrong and vile. Its like knocking over a kids sand castle just because you think its not like your sand castle. I am just speaking my opinion I'm fine with vegans as long as they don't press their beliefs or try to force me to live their way because they dictate so. There are always going to be different people with different tastes and cultures I don't think judging a person by his or her food and calling him or her a monster because of it they could be nice people too but your judging them.

No, instead your fuming around a thread in which you had no necessity in posting within for the sake of sharing your feelings - one of which happens to include that I shouldn't be allowed to share mine because they conflict with yours. Please, get your head far enough out of the sand to see what you're doing with regard to simple argumentation even if you are completely unwilling to care about any life except yours and whatever select few might randomly matter to you at any given time based on proximity and temporary alliance.
First off I simply said meh I still eat meat translation: I am rather indifferent to the idea I will eat what I eat. You started getting all ruffled up afterwards and start pretty much saying "I dont like that you eat meat deal with it" so I responded back in a similar tone. I also used some prime examples why people eat meat and farm animals for food and that there are people who rely on food for survival because where they live they have little to no choice. Another thing is the reason why my head is so deep in the sand as you say is because ya smashed my sand castle and stomped my head into it because I used more starfish for my decorations and it doesnt look like yours. There are always going to be people around the world with different cultures who have different views and different diets you just cant just barge in and force them to eat what you think is good that is like having someone force you to move into nowhere and force you to eat meat! I sense you have great anger and I can see you feel bad for the thousands if not millions of farm animals slaughtered for food, but there isnt much you or I can do about it but what good would it do if you mourned for the lives of animals slaughtered every day over the past 10000 or so years? You'll be depressed and mourning for the rest of your life until you die. I see nature and animals killing eachother and start to get used to it, it phases me little at all. You might think Im a horrible person and hate me for what I eat and such but the difference is I dont hate you but if it helps you feel better know this, some day I will die and you can be happy one more person who eats slaughtered animals is dead and off the earth.

If you draw up a list of "excess humans" with the implication that they really should go, will you put your name on the list?

I loved that movie. I still get choked up when I see Saul Roth's death scene. Roth was played by Edward G. Robinson who was, in real life dying. He died not long after Soylent Green was released.

Hope this might give you some insight you might think they are monsters but this is their way of life. They are people and also even though they kill animals they also respect them and also pray to the great spirit at times after slaughtering the animal.
