Having actually lived in more than one region of the United States and visited even more, I can assure you that at least racial epithets and homophobia are alive and well outside of Dixie. We've been over this before.
And these "acquaintances" come from all over. It's fairly common for people to move around a little during their lives.

When did I use the word "south?" Idaho - which is right next door - unfortunately has a reputation for having citizens with some rather uncharitable views on race.
I will say this, though - you southern guys are more than a little thin skinned when it comes to the topic of racism.

I have always admired men that knowingly enter a battle where they are outmanned and outgunned. Defending the elite and international corporations has always struck me as wienie.
