i tend to notice a lot of people do self-association with abortion. "i don't want to be aborted so therefore, i want abortion to be illegal".


not really strange considering most people actually think that life has meaning and that they need justification for living...so of course they'd be insecure about something like abortion...the ultimate cancellation. the ultimate insult a parent can pay their kid in saying they should have been aborted.


that and putting value on potential for life while there being no real life present. it's funny because a portion of that population is also the population who would eagerly kick people to the curb and let them starve.


value of life is an illusion.

"Tell me how..." I never said that partial birth abortion was "necessary to save a mother's life" by it's very nature. It is when it is and it isn't when it isn't.

Listen, dude. Partial birth abortion is actually an uncommon procedure. And it's hardly ever done except to save a mother's life. That's what I meant.

If your placenta became gangrenous and guaranteed your death from septicemia during the next 24 hours and the only choice was removal of the entire reproductive apparatus, what would you do? If the doctors told you that a six-month old fetus had priority over you and just stood around to watch you die (and--duh--what's fatal for mom is fatal for baby), how would you react?

You know what's barbaric? Cutting people up with knives, poisoning people, exposing people to radioactive material, sticking probes in people, sawing people's skulls in half, pumping people full of unnatural chemicals, cutting organs out of people, putting said organs into other people, and denying people solid food. That's surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, exploratory procedures, neurosurgery, pharmaceuticals, life-saving (organ of choice)-ectomies, organ transplantation, and recovery diets for people with serious gastrointestinal infections.
