Iggy's fifteen minutes of fame topic

When Barack Obama comes, Mike will only have mere minutes to say GOODBYE to him. No camera close up? Harper still fears the Coalition, maybe including Obama?

I will be watching because of the trade issues to be discussed. Obama will have to smoke no less than 9 meters from the Parliament Buildings' perimeter. 8)

Methinks this visit is more like a stopover for The Prez.

But, hey, I am still happy! :D

A meeting of minds topic

President Obama has publicly assured Canadians that the US will honour all trade agreements. He and Prime Minister Stephen Harper had a press conference after their meeting and the Prime Minister reminded Canadians that the strong bond the US has with us will continue.

Obama packed a lot into this working visit, including stopping off at a popular Ottawa bakery for Canadian Maple cookies to bring home for the daughters' dessert! No word on the beaver tail or the snow globe.( Beavers can relax, now.) When he tried to pay the bakery staff would not take the $20 Dollar Canadian bill he offered. 8)

Just outside the Bakery, in the Byward Market, a woman gave him another baked good in a box and got her picture taken with him. Various media are trying to get an interview with her. Instant fame, I guess.

Iggy and Rae got 20 minutes with Barack at the Ottawa airport just before Air Force One left.

Obama said he would like to return when it gets warmer.

I hope for a better analysis regarding the subjects of economy, environment and trade relations later.

Ha-Ha.

Hopefully hilarity has held. Here, honest but habitual haranguing happens hourly! Hari-kari hurts horribly, so honor Harpers habitual hot-dogging.

polemic-petulant politicians preside,
palestrally pinching every penny,
Procured from plebians all and any.
pasquinading the publics purses,
precipitating my p-assive verses,

No wonder Canadian spirits have died.

Priceless topic

Poetic justice! :P

We are a pedantic bunch of Canadian spirits, down, but not out!

Harper's New York Minute in Times Square topic

So Steve-o went to promote our way of doing banking. I also think he went looking for Barack to soak up more of that charisma. He is going to need it if he has any hope of defeating Iggy, when the inevitable election rears its head again.
