This is a poll to see what my fellow Aspies believe religiously. I am curious as to the different religions that the slightly autistic follow, and for that matter, don't follow.

This is a serious poll, and I would greatly appreciate serious answers for an accurate result. Thanks :)

Aren't a lot of the other poll answers atheistic too, meaning that their adherents don't believe in god?

EDIT: Post number 666! In a poll about the question of religion and all.

Well, I would guess that "atheist" probably refers best to those who identify with a Western sense of atheism, rather than more religious variants.

I am into religion, I like the nature religions but I don't believe in spells and props, I like spirituality, I love philosophy, but I don't believe in any particular god or fixed set of beliefs, after much consideration my views are currently closest to agnostic. I think all human thought is correct and is really just different points of view of the same thing - Life.

I'm an Atheist, but I struggle to find a place for my Jewish identity to fit into my culture while maintaining my objections to religion's oppressive nature.
So I guess you could say I'm not a Jew, I'm a Jew-ish atheist. :P

what does that even mean? :S judaism is a religion, either your religious or your not :S

my nation is protestant. i am not protestant, i am atheist. my continent is mostly christian, i am not. my "race" is mostly christian, i am not.

would it be better for you, to refer to yourself as semite? if thats the issue? ancestry, rather than religion?
i was always puzzled by this, how jewish people remain jews even if they dont believe in judaism.

This is with a "born" Catholic is some ways the same: I am a hard core atheist, but it on the other side still a cultural connection with the special Rhenish branch of Catholicism I grown up.

Agnostic/Pastafarian (according to Wikipedia, this combination is known as a Spagnostic), born Roman Catholic.

I still celebrate Christmas because its celebration (tree, presents, commercialism) is so commercialized that its become religion unspecific.

Related story: A few weeks ago, after mentioning I was agnostic to a friend in the line in the supermarket, the lady behind me was furious that I was buying Cadbury eggs (I hate it when people decide to interject themselves into my private conversations uninvited). How exactly is the Cadbury creme egg a Christians-only food?

Anywho, my stance is that god is unknowable (so this makes me a "strong agnostic" according to Wikipedia). I dislike atheism on the grounds of "how can they be so sure?" etc. etc. And I hate organized Christianity because they're essentially Bible fan clubs, although I respect all religious beliefs and believe that the Holy Bible is one of the greatest literary achievements in the history of mankind and should be read by all, regardless of religious orientation.

I'm Atheist.

Though, i'm not so sure if Agnostic should be on there. Agnostic is not exclusive to what you belief. In fact, agnosticism is based doubt-- or rather, on knowledge. As in, agnostics think there is not any scientific evidence to prove or disprove the existence of a god. I also think this way, but along with that though, I personally believe that there is no god.

Well, Jewish is also considered to be a race/ethnicity, so I read it differently.

Not race, which is biological, but cultural which is learned.

Judaism cannot be a race. There Caucasian Jews, oriental Jews, African Jews. Many different skin colors and eye shapes. Judaism is a cultural dynamic based on some late Bronze Age superstitions. What makes Judaism special is that it produced (accidentally) a powerful and successful ethical system.
