I don't particularly enjoy giving Democrats a hard time as much as I enjoy giving Republicans a hard time, simply because I view the reasons one becomes a Democrat as more appealing than the reasons one becomes a Republican (at least in the last twenty years). However, I feel the need to make a point here.
If you are a "liberal", how could you ever support the Democratic party (except perhaps Kucinich)? If they are anything (and in my view neither party really stands for anything anymore), they are centrists.
It seems like you're just opting for the alternative to Republicans, which isn't really much of an alternative. Back in the 60's, liberal America stood for something, they fought for something. It seems like those who now view themselves as liberal have given up the passion and conceded defeat. You support corrupt politicians that kowtow to lobbyists, and you naively believe that Obama represents real change.
I'm not really trying to insult you, I'm asking, "what gives?"
I will make one concession though, Barney Frank is awesome.
