Must immigration stop?

In Europe we face mass-immigration from non-western countries. Countries with an often very different culture and mentality. The result: crime, unsafety, unemployment.
Is this the way?

Crime has a lot to do with social inequality and very little to do with
different cultures. The vast majority of crimes are bad in all major
cultures.
Social inequality is a product of poor support and opportunity for the
disadvantaged. In a society where the disadvantaged have little
opportunity and support to be successful, economic immigration will
increase social inequality. On the other hand, where the disadvantaged
have the opportunity and support to be upwardly socially and financially
mobile, immigration can only be a good thing.

Unemployment is clearly a non-issue. Sure, more new people mean
less jobs to go round, but immigration makes up a tiny, tiny fraction
of new people in any country.



Concern about immigration is as well founded as concern about the vast
torrents of new people that enter the country from the wombs of others.
After they arive in the country from the womb they do not work for 18 or
more years, they get vast amounts of money from the government. All
their education, food housing etc. must be paid for by everyone else for
the whole 18+ years until they start working.
Yet people complain about the immigrants from overseas who get far
less support, but who are most often in work within their first year of arrival.

you know, there are members of the BNP who are on Facebook - they set up their normal account then two or three others under different names. Then with the normal account they write a fairly lengthy peace on, say, immigration, IQ between races, certain ideas being taboo etc etc the usual topics for the far right. Then they use one of the other 'fake' accounts to post things like 'well said!', 'finally, someone with the balls to be honest!' and such like in agreement with what they wrote themselves (quite sad really) or use the fake profiles when the credibility of other profiles is gone. But I ramble, back to the topic:

so until there was mass immigration from non-western countries we lived in a paradise of zero-unemployment, safety and no crime? wow, that's amazing, can you direct me toward some sources or other evidence to show me in detail what this wonderful aryan world was like?

That same situation made the United States prosperous. On balance immigration has promoted the economic welfare of the United States.

yeah, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how afro-amerian's got to the US. I suppose you could use the words 'mass' and 'immigration' but then it becomes problematic....

That is a bit exaggerated. More like a quarter. Most are underemployed or in low paying jobs.

Blacks and Hispanics are doing jobs that white dudes do not want to do. Someone has got to sweep up, pump gas, map the floors, trim the hedges, etc. etc..

Most black folk in the U.S. are born in the U.S. They are no more afro than I am. There is very little immigration from Africa. The biggest U.S. immigration "problem" is illegal immigration across the Mexico-U.S. border.

Like Bruce Springstee, I was born in the U.S.A. I am a Native American. I am even 1/16 Cherokee. One of my great, greats was a Cherokee woman who married a Jewish peddler.
