It really is, and the President is only making it look worse.

I agree with the OP. The Democratic Party is a joke. It's no different than the Republican party because most of the Democrats practically embraced Reaganomics since Regan was elected. The only way to get things done in this country is to run for political office yourself.

It is best if we did not "get things done". That is best worked out in the market place where everyone has a vote. The currency in your wallet or you bank account or your credit card is your ballot in the market place.

So are you advocating oligarchy or diktat Ruveyn? Because i'm quite sure that's what the market looks like nowadays.

No, I advocate free wheeling capitalism. Corporations are the legions of the dead. New business start ups and enterprisers are what energize the capitalistic system. Look at Tom Edison. He started off as a poor boy who invented or directed invention to get to the top. Or Ed Land, who was not born into a wealthy family. Ditto for Steve Jobs etc. etc. etc.

The only problem i see with that is that unless you devise a brand new invention that revolutionizes our lives and obtain instant success, you'll not get far at all. All those small businesses are usually rooted out when faced by a mega corporation that only sees profit when the small business's primary purpose would be to deserve local community members and worry about making cash later. =.=

Apple Computer started in a garage. Ed Land's Polaroid started in a small lab. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Were any of those already invented before? I would think no, hence why they could develop their ideas without inference from existing, well-established companies.

Those days are gone. Your examples are outdated. Small businesses and entreprenuers get crushed today. Walmart wins and everyone else falls into working poor category.

Are doctors and lawyers and first line scientists and engineers the Working Poor?

Are electricians, plumbers, auto mechanics, carpenters and small building contractors among the working poor? I don't think so.

You exagerate. In addition, more new jobs are created by small and medium size businesses than by large mega corporations.

American politics is a joke. The Democrats and the Republicans are far too left wing and far too Christian for me.

The main problem I have with the National Socialist Party of Canada is that they're not anti-Christian  . 3 weeds from the same root: 1. Judaism 2. Christianity 3. Islam 8)

In what possible sense is the Republican Party left-wing?
