I've always been confused by the two contradictory passages.
"...no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6, KJV)
This implies that the Son Jesus is the gatekeeper for the Father YHWH. The gatekeeper function indicates that Jesus and YHWH are separate beings. In this case, Jesus is getting people to accept him as their Savior, so that they can enter heaven and be with God the Father (i.e. YHWH).
"I and my Father are one." (John 10:30, KJV)
This implies that YHWH and Jesus are the same being into different froms: YHWH is the inconceivable heavenly form of God, and Jesus is the conceivable human form of God, plus the Holy Spirit, which isn't mentioned often. But even though there are two forms, they still represent the same God.
This is not intented to bash Christianity, but can someone explain to me how Christians reconcile those two contradictory statements? I'm Jewish, but I've read the New Testament out of curiosity. Yet I haven't been able to reconcile John 14:6 and John 10:30.
