Will Pres Obama convert to Christianity and save America?
This is a question which mixes stereotypes with politics and religions.
Will President Obama convert to Christianity and save America?
This would mean two things:
a) By becoming a Christian President Obama would obviously switch parties and become a God-fearing - Jesus is my hero - George Bush, Jr. saved Texas Methodist Republican. That way Obama would be reelected but as a Republican. If his VP - Joseph Biden - did not renounce the Democratic Party, President Obama (the new Republican president) would simply choose another VP candidate, for example, someone who believes in God and Republican values such as Rush Limbaugh or Judge Roy Moore.
b) President Obama would also have to purge the US Supreme Court and get more Bible believers there. That is doable for a God-fearing, Spanish Inquisition/Dispatch All Heretics Type of president, isn't it?

The heretic list must be expanded to include all members of the Democratic Party of the USA and all radio listeners who refuse to listen to people like Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage.

Questions:
Is this really a serious question?
Answer:
No, it is a fictitious question based on stereotypes and perhaps a sense of humor - either a good sense of humor or a poor sense of humor or somewhere in the middle.

Why did the Rev. Pat Robertson (and others) say Hurricane Katrina was God's wrath on the sin city of New Orleans, Louisiana and now, 2010, the Rev. Pat Robertson is absolutely silent about the BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill. For some reason, the Rev. Pat Robertson is not calling the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico's God's wrath on the (sinful) southern USA coastline? Why not?
Is the Rev. Pat Robertson applying a double standard to God's wrath?
Is the Rev. Pat Robertson misinterpreting the Bible?
Is the Rev. Pat Robertson mellowing as he ages?

I don't think you quite understand what Christianity is, pgd. Of course, if you're getting your information from websites, that's fully understandable...

ruveyn - Agree with you 100%.
From what I can see, President Obama is a gifted speaker who tends to take a daily vow to fix something about America right now.
I believe Obama has taken hundreds of verbal vows so far again promising to fix this department or that policy right now.
His wife is also into the vow business too with the idea of curing all USA child obesity within twenty years.
Vows - vows - and vows - promises - promises - and promises - politics - politics - and politics.

Questions:
What's the difference between taking a daily vow to fix something now in the USA
(President Obama strategy)
vs
Hoisting the "Mission Accomplished" flag on board a large boat off the California coast
(President Bush, Jr. strategy)
?
Politics - There's no business like the business of politics...

I readily admit I do not (completely) understand Christian ideas such as the Trinity, even virgin births.

Some of the information I've gathered about Christianity comes from evangelist Jack T. Chick as well as websites which do not subscribe to evangelist's Jack T. Chick interpretation of the Scriptures/the Bible.

Tollorin - Personally I do know exactly what religion President Barack Obama really believes in.
I tend to feel he mixes politics with a wide variety of non-profit religions (not just Christianity).

President Barack Obama does not hold weekly White House Bible readings as did his predecessor, Texas Methodist Republican, George Bush, Jr. - creator of the Iraq (likely unjustified - some believe) and Afghanistan (likely justified - many believe due to 09-11-2001) Wars.

V.
I think if Oprah spent her last year dedicated to curving obesity in America, with tips, interviews with doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, keeping track of people's lives through the weight loss process, finding the inspiration to keep on track of a diet and exercise plan, etc, she could make a greater impact than anything going on today.
This post seems to assume that the Christianity the president practices is not true Christianity. Or that the oft cited rumor that he is Muslim actually has same foundation. The later is a well quelled rumor, and the former requires a version of Christianity that is extremely fringe. Hence, the question is ridiculous. And I do understand it is supposed to be a joke, but aren't jokes supposed to have a starting point in some kernal of truth?

True Christianity was the kind practiced by James (Josh's brother) and the Ebionites. This has not been practiced in 1700 or 1800 years. All the rest was made up by Gentiles. Christianity started off as a kind of reform to the Pharasaic mode of Judaism.. It was a Jewish movement. The Gentiles took it over thanks to the unwholesome Saul of Tarsus.

1. President Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ.
2. Pat Robertson says things that will result in bigger profits for himself and his many business ventures.
